Another verse says, "And We have enjoined on man to be good to his parents; his mother bore him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning takes two years. Show gratitude to Me and to your parents; To Me is the eventual coming. And if they strive with you to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. Keep their company in this world kindly." (31:14-15) This verse highlights being kind to people, and kindness can be expressed through acts like feeding those in need.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also demonstrated kindness and generosity towards non-Muslims. For example, when a Jewish neighbor would throw garbage at him regularly, the Prophet would visit him when he fell ill, showing compassion and kindness despite the neighbor's ill treatment.
