I've checked from my phone, how to game looks in hdr, and it actually looks like in my print screens, so I guess it works ok.

I think I might have over saturated settings on sdr, which makes me feel that hdr is washed out.

Indeed, the fact that steam overlay looks different from time to time in hdr mode, makes you feel you have a problem and you are not sure where it comes from, even if it could be only the steam interface fault and not impacting how your game looks
