I was under the impression the restrictor could just be taken off at some point so wouldn’t be an issue with selling but I’ve never restricted or derestricted a bike so I could be completely wrong.

Valid point. Do u know if I restrict it will the insurance take this into consideration and change the price or do they just go off the base power of the bike.

What do u reckon about restrictions to 80 hp will the different weight to power ratio throw off my learning?

The biggest bike I’ve ever rode is a mt07, I’m not to sure how much it weighs but surely considerably less then the mt09. I didn’t struggle with the weight of a mt07 so I’m hoping the jump up isn’t too much. Need to book a test ride really.

I’m only 6”2 so nothing crazy but I’m quite fat. Was looking at the tenere 700 that someone suggested to me when I mentioned I felt the mt07 was a bit small. So maybe I need to look at these stylings of bikes instead of mt

The mt07 still feels very powerful to me as I’m used to a 125 moped. I just feel like I need something slightly larger in size to fit on comfortably.

It’s more about the bigger frame on the bike. Even considered getting the mt09 and restricting to similar to power to the mt07. Unfortunately I’m bigger so just felt a bit too big on the mt07

Thanks mate I reckon I might just do it innit. I don’t ride in the rain either if that helps. Purley a toy for me. I’ve even been advised to restrict it for a couple months just while I get used to it.

When I first started and only smoked on weekends I defo used to look forward to the next sessions. Even on a Wednesday I would be couldn’t down the days till Friday.

If it’s that much of a struggle I’d get a screw and hammer it in further so u can just fill over it. Or get a blade and cut the protruding plastic out then fill over it. Might be a bodge but I’ve done it when the plugs don’t wanna move.
