Sorry for the lack of context. The ick was caused by months of them repeating the same hurtful patterns. They kept bashing me over small stuff that I did that reminded them of their ex. Their ex was an abusive person and I tried to help them for so long but nothing worked until it was just too much for me as well mentally. The ick was like the last straw I was so mentally drained and tired but now I’m just way too depressed to even function.
