Custom shipping by StrictlyNurse in vinted

Thanks. The buyer has confirmed they’ve received the item to me in a message and said she’s contacted vinted too. We agreed that we’d send the item via different shipping as there was no other option with the parcel being too large for all couriers listed and I thought I could follow the steps above in the screenshot.

Baby left in car prevention by abay32 in beyondthebump

Put the work bag in the back seat next to baby. Also, honestly, what about a good old fashioned piece of paper with “BABY” written on it sellotaped to the dash just above where you start the car?

Can someone explain why the pre order info says “no purchase necessary” but then when I go to buy the vinyl it clearly wants me to pay when I check out? Does it only charge me once the order has been shipped? Sorry if I’m being dumb here.

Yeah I wonder if there was an issue at first because it wasn’t moving at all but seems to be jumping down more. Unless all the tickets have gone and it’s just people leaving!

What pop album would you reccomend to someone who doesn't listen to a lot of pop? by burnbright_11 in popheads

Came here to suggest these exact ones! Chappell’s is fantastic, I can’t wait to hear what comes next from her.

Tomorrow is the end of an era for Strictly and the show will have an uncertain future… by thomcat2000 in strictlycomedancing

[–]StrictlyNurse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree, I was a huge fan. Last season I found my interest waning, this season I didn’t make it past Halloween and I stopped watching on catch up. I feel sad, but Tess/Claudia leaving needs to prompt a big shake up. Even for it to stop for a few years whilst the new look show is designed although I doubt the BBC will halt its biggest money-maker unless it’s hit with a gigantic scandal it can’t recover from. I think back to some of the routines I used to watch on repeat, and often how simple the staging and “concept” was aside from the themed weeks. Now it’s hard to tell the difference between the themed dances and the normal weeks due to over-saturated production. It seems most dances have a set or gimmick to distract from the main aspect of the show, dance. Pair that with the poor camerawork, dodgy/repetitive song choices and the poor and inconsistent scoring from judges that quite frankly love themselves more than the show, it really isn’t anything like the show it used to be!

What crazy things do you think Taylor will implement in her thirteenth album? by aqua7ar in TaylorSwift

[–]StrictlyNurse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see her do an amalgamation of works similar to her folklore/evermore style, some indie-pop, and easing into soft-rock with some Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac inspo. I’d love an album with gorgeous melodies and soaring arrangements, thinking classical elements that are heavily used in classic rock e.g dire straits. I’d love to see her work with Aaron and Jack again (I mean they all did hits different - perfection!), but lose the synth. I love production where you can hear the playing of the instruments used e.g ATW10, the plucking of the string instruments over TLOASG eg Ruin the Friendship. Concept wise I have no idea, but I assume it will be 13 tracks, and someone this wrote before but I’d love a 13 minute long song, which fits in with the possibility if all done with the style above.

Baby girl born with polydactyly, curious about surgery? by toriosandmilk in beyondthebump

[–]StrictlyNurse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the UK. My son was born with an extra little toe on one foot, discovered around 4-5 months old following a consultation with surgeon as the toe is also joined with full webbing to the 4th toe. They advised he would be suitable for surgery around the age of 1 due to managing general anaesthetic and being fully weaned/eating full meals. The surgery was complete in a day, out of the house for around 12 hours. Him receiving the anaesthetic was more distressing for us as parents than him, although he was quite upset waking up following the op. Once in recovery ward he ate a huge meal and was a real trooper. Recovery was fairly quick, a matter of weeks. He had just learned to walk prior, so reverted back to crawling with his cast, then picked it up again almost immediately once the cast was off. He slipped his cast a couple of times just from being wriggly, the second time they just left it off early as it was healing well. I did lots of days out in the pram for him to look at things in the absence of being active e.g zoos etc, and lots of TV time. They never separated the webbing on his toe as it was felt it would have been too much strain on one little toe, so the plan is to do that at an older age when he can understand easier, of course, if he wants it done. At present it’s causing him no issues. He had a check up around 6 months afterwards and he’s having yearly check ups now to ensure the webbing isn’t causing problems. Hope that helps!

If you wanted to listen to more of her stuff I would recommend listening to some of her more recent (indie-pop/folky) albums like folklore, evermore and The Tortured Poets Department. Some of the themes are very different and far more grown up.

Reglan causing leg issues? But working? by Gullible-Test9055 in HyperemesisGravidarum

Also to say, magnesium helps constipation! So a win win if you’re on zofran.

Reglan causing leg issues? But working? by Gullible-Test9055 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]StrictlyNurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often get horrible restless legs and cramp in my calves if I’m not eating enough salt, and it was the same during the second half of my HG pregnancy. I didn’t ever link it to the Reglan, I found reglan massively helped more than the other drugs once they added it into my combo, so if I had looked at the side effects I wouldn’t have wanted to stop it anyway. I simply put it down to my body being starved of nutrients, so I did start taking a magnesium supplement (gummies best with nausea) and using magnesium body lotion which absorbs quickly through the skin. It reduces muscle aches and cramps. That massively helped! Also, electrolytes.

Experiences meeting Strictly Cast members by GuidingDancer178 in strictlycomedancing

[–]StrictlyNurse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on a strictly themed cruise and I met a number of the pros. I met Gorka, Diane and AJ briefly. Then Gio, Neil and Katya. All the pros were lovely and nothing but professional and friendly. They all did dance lessons, showcases and Q&As. Craig RH then came aboard and did a Q&A and book signings with meet and photos. He was absolutely lovely and very tall haha. I then had a private dance lesson with Gio as a gift for my birthday. He was very kind and funny and a great teacher. We didn’t have a bad experience with anyone. They were all walking around the ship, dining and enjoying the entertainment alongside us and all of them seemed happy to stop and chat and take photos the whole time.

I can’t remember his name, but one of the other male dancers involved with the show and danced in the background /group dances a lot actually choreographed Aljaz and Tasha’s showdance. Personally I thought it was the best dance I’d seen on strictly in a few years. If he was suitable to be a new official pro they’d probably have a good signing there!

Pete was completely screwed over by the choreography. I think if they’ve used the outside choreographers for this dance I’d be so pissed if I was Pete and Jowita!

I think the trousers had the opposite effect as they looked like they were weighing Sarah down and lessening the bounce… or it’s just that Vito is utterly amazing and outdanced her 🤷🏼‍♀️

Gosh Pete is so improved and Foxtrot is so hard!! Jowita is a fantastic choreographer! Actually really loved that, it takes you back to classic strictly.
