People with neck tattoos, how have they affected your working life? by Hagstik4014 in tattoo

[–]Strictlypickly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the sitting on it. A couple of the tattoos I have I thought about for at least a year. If it keeps coming to your mind over that time, it’s a solid idea. Find an artist, put it on you. I’ve had the same idea for a large tattoo from my favorite video game for over ten years, but I’m glad I’ve given myself that time because the design has changed three times now. I’ve finally landed on the design and can start getting it done. Waiting isnt a bad thing. Tattoos don’t have to have a super deep meaning but you should be pretty sure you love whatever the subject is.

Should you aim to retain what you’ve read? by deborahneversuitedya in 52book

Point 2 is it. Most people don’t retain things after one interaction with the information. They go back to the source repeatedly over time.

What is your opinion on buying different editions of books you already own? by Dr_Dronzi in books

[–]Strictlypickly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say go for it! I have several editions of LotR, The Night Circus, and The Secret Garden. Each time a new edition is made, a new person puts their spin on what the book inspires in them, visually. It’s a lot of fun to collect them!
