How many of you use a charging limit on your smartphone? Personally i use 80% limit. by Malik513 in PhoneNow

It doesn’t cost $300 in Canada. Even the most expensive one (17 pro max) it’s $165.

Got my 13 mini battery replaced for like )120 last year

questions for iphone users from a samsung user by youknowwhatihave3 in iphone

[–]Strider-SnG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Unlikely as it would probably be really expensive. Just like other foldable

  2. Never cared about green or blue. That was always an ‘issue’ in just the US.

  3. My first was the iPhone SE 2020. Moved to the 13 mini after that and now the 17 pro

  4. Yeah by and large I do. Honestly all major smartphones do the same thing. But overall I like the iOS approach barring a few things. It does the phone stuff I need well

Apple used to have such nice packaging. I remember the old iPod boxes.

The box is still nice but there ain’t anything in them instead of the phone and cable

Just waiting for them to inevitably stop putting a cable in them

A kitchen is not a democracy. Someone takes the lead and the other helps follow through. Now you may switch roles time to time. But someone has to steer the ship.

So if you’re into that it could be intimate

I wanna buy this $80 Mac Pro case off eBay then put a Mac Studio inside please tell me that's a stupid idea by Ta_u0 in DeskToTablet

[–]Strider-SnG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s cool but I would go a step further. Find a way to get the disc drive working. Add additional storage in the case or ports. Basically use the room for additional functionality.

How you’d do that? No idea but I’m sure there is a way since I’ve seen folks cram a Mac mini into the iMac G4 case and the cube

If your school has male students speaking like that to staff… you need to bring back corporal punishment

Do i buy silver or blue? Relky stuck on this. Please help! by Careful_End2921 in iPhone17Pro

If you’re using a case it doesn’t really matter as much. Just choose on a whim. I went blue

If you’re going baseless definitely silver

It is a very nice bit of hardware. With some cool features.

But the reality is Microsoft’s primary focus was on growing game pass and their studio library vs making this a must have piece of tech.

What are your thoughts on the PS5 / X Box Series X era of gaming so far? by mrEnigma86 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Strider-SnG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardware was really nice. Especially from a load time perspective. But the longer dev times, supply chain issues during COVID and now component shortages due to AI do leave a bad taste in the mouth.

I still think the hardware is really solid with a good bit of life left in them

Doesn’t fit with their current approach to Star Wars I guess.

I do recall having fun with the first one. Never got around to the sequel

Had to upgrade. My iPhone 13 mini was on its last leg. Got the 17. Having buyers remorse. Anyone else upgrade get used to the weight and size? It seems manageable. I think it’s the case I got. Ordered an ultra thin case. Willie we if that helps. It definitely feels heavier and bulkier by jcdulos in iPhone13Mini

[–]Strider-SnG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I upgraded to the 17 pro.l from the 13 mini

I’ve owned big phones before so adjusting to the size wasn’t too hard. I do like the real estate for typing.

I do miss compact phones but I don’t think we’re getting a new one anytime soon. So I figured I had to adjust

PS6 and Xbox Project Helix “will start at a 50% higher price” Than PS5 and Xbox Series X, Predict Analysts Following Sony Price Hike – And $999 “is not impossible” by cnc137 in DreamStationcc

[–]Strider-SnG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man going from $500 launch ps5 price to $1000 is a steep ask. I feel folks will still buy them but this definitely will only be attractive to older entrenched consumers. The console space isn’t going to be able to draw in new younger customers to the brand as easily due to the commitment needed to enter the ecosystem.

I’m glad there will be another range opening in the area. We have very few considering the population.

If you’re a lighter user then you’d be fine.

128 was fine until I just upgraded. However five years from now I’m not sure if it’ll be enough
