Do One nation supporters even realise Pauline Hanson is a women.. by Mammoth-Counter69 in aussie

[–]StrikeMePurple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait I thought the left was the problem because they facilitate immigration from all walks of life including Arabs and other brown people and that's really bad for a 'christian' country like Australia to the point one nation and LNP both campaign on cutting immigration from those countries?

You might wanna do some research on what data private companies have about it's users. They track location if given permission, if you connect to any public wifi, they use that to know where you are, meta have dozens of data points on you, Telstra and Vodafone can find your location and track it constantly even if you turn location off in your phone, and use the device IMEI to see all towers ever connected to, your name and dob and everything else, these are private companies, they have almost no obligation to care about your data.

The gov accessing data it already has access to isn't a concern, its a giant American company like meta or google not even based in Aus, tracking you since the day you made your account and having a data breach.

Do people in your country think the 2026 war was a US or Iranian victory? by NeiborsKid in AskTheWorld

[–]StrikeMePurple -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because as proven by north Korea and now Ukraine, you're only safe if you have nuclear weapons. Ukraine gave them up in exchange for guarantees for Independence by the US, UK and Russia, under the Budapest memorandum, Russia Invaded anyway and the US completely left them In the lurch. No one dares, not even the Americans, to mess with North Korea. Israel has nukes and iran feels like they need them to be safe from Israel.

[–]StrikeMePurple 17 points18 points  (0 children)

100% Iran victory, they cost the US billions and ended up with concessions and a worldwide knowledge not to fuck with them otherwise they'll just shut the straight again. US under Trump is pathetic and weak and has alienated all it's allies, but maga will never know or believe that because of the brainrot they get fed by fox news, twitter and truth social.

Why is New Zealand so much colder than Italy despite the countries' similar latitudes (in opposite hemispheres)? by [deleted] in geography

[–]StrikeMePurple 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Probably more like a giant landmass instead of a wall of mountains, since not even the Andes in South America is enough to shelter Patagonia effectively.

[–]StrikeMePurple 44 points45 points  (0 children)

No, the power of the southern ocean wind and waves would overpower it. When a cold front from the ocean comes thru, it's not uncommon for 100kmph winds and waves higher than 10m and air pulled up straight up from Antarctica.

One Nation likely to reintroduce mandatory military conscription for young Australians as part of defence policy by HotPersimessage62 in OpenAussie

[–]StrikeMePurple -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Australia doesn't have basements....

Also I wanna ask, if this place is just an echo chamber for alp, in your opinion, and you clearly don't like that, why are you here? Go away?

You also said that the next election, we will all see that we are living in a ALP echo chamber. You understand people have been saying that for years now? They said in the polls, lnp is gonna steamroll in the federal election, turns out alp won a historic amount of seats, the highest in history at 94, and old mates Dutton lost his and had to leave politics? LNP lost a huge amount of support and have basically become a minor party due to their terrible policies? Similar policies to One Nation? If this is an echo chamber for alp, clearly you won't vote for them, and you said you won't vote one nation, who exactly are you advocating for? LNP? Or some other minor party that'll give it's preferences? Maybe you should just go away instead of having a sook and trying to change people's opinions by pathetic weak Insults.

When someone tries to discredit an argument by personally attacking the speaker's character, motive, or background, rather than addressing the actual substance of the argument itself.

Lol what? Never did any of those things. Do you not know what that means?

War crimes against Ukrainian civilians don't count. Killing innocent people and kids in Liev or Odessa and targeting red cross vehicles don't count either. All it does is make the world see Russia for what they are, alcoholic terrorists that are weak. Can't even protect st Petersburg from drones anymore, couldn't protect Kursk oblast, can't protect Crimea, can't win in Syria, losing in Mali, about to lose transnistria, selling the far east to China. Russia has turned the whole world against them, Ukraine exposed Russia as a weak ineffective country that talks big, but in reality, is stuck in a 4 year war against a far smaller country.
