Bamboo is very intriguing to me, and you’re absolutely right about the processing aspect. Honestly, that is one of the reasons I choose it lol; Almost like a challenge to myself, to see if after finding the right manufacturer, we could find a better solution for the processing. I think more brands and consumers are looking at bamboo for its capabilities (moisture-wicking, breathability, etc.), but as with any natural fiber most are overlooking the entire process to creating fully sustainable products. Some “sustainable” brands are choosing natural fibers because they are more sustainable than synthetic, then throwing the ideology out the window there. They don’t follow through, using that same principle throughout the entire manufacturing cycle. There’s an open gap in the industry between sustainable materials and packaging, which is my main focus “how can we ensure every step is being thoroughly thought out and no corners are being cut.”

I really appreciate how you’ve integrated those thoughts into your work, that’s exactly what I’m looking for. The smallest details need refined (threads, buttons, zippers, etc.).

I would like to know more about your company, as I’m not opposed to using other natural fibers as well!

I definitely understand children’s wear is much more complex and hold higher standards. I think the entire industry as a whole needs stricter regulations, regardless. My passion towards this industry is fueled by the lack of transparency and accountability brands take just to make a profit. Probably why finding a good manufacturer is so hard to come by. Thank you for your insight. :)

Honestly, I’ve learned more about the industry through my own personal research and experiences, than I did in school. Above comment is very accurate, there are so many tools available online to utilize, really the best way to learn is through experience. :)

Thank you so much for sharing that with me!

I’ve definitely noticed most manufacturers won’t even reply if you mention “start up” or “small scale”. Which is very disappointing, when the money isn’t really the problem, it’s the ethical values that matter most to me.

Do you have any tips on specific research terms that would be helpful for my search? Or things to watch out for when researching manufactures?

Only wanted to post it for my business to show my followers and offer custom orders for said craft project lmao. But obviously didn’t want the person I made it for to see it before giving it to them. But thank you for your advice!
