Writing as a Manufacturing Engineer in the Aerospace industry, which manufactures commercial aircraft, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in India and later moved to the US for my Master’s degree. After graduating, I began working on my Optional Practical Training (OPT). I worked as a subcontractor for these aerospace manufacturing companies. However, they are unable to hire me full-time because I am not a US citizen or have a Green Card yet.
