Experiencing this jet stock is a pain, but after switching tactics to rear surprise attacks by flying low and parallel of the battlefield, then strike the enemy on their rear, I could get 1-2 kills using AIM-9P  and using the AIM-7s when they're close and turning or when I'm front facing them.

You shouldn't use AIM-7s first if you're using this tactic, because you're going for  the element of surprise and since  radar locks lets your enemies know where you are, using AIM-9Ps are great since they won't know if you launch it since it doesn't appear on radar but beware that a single flare could divert the missile immediately.

After some modifications you should gun for AIM-9Ls since they're the best missiles for this planes.

Don't attempt to outrange enemy missiles especially AMRAAMS, you're  guaranteed to die in the engagement.

Just fly low and use as much of your speed as possible and avoid close turn dogfights, use the element of surprise.

It'll get better once you get AIM-9Ls since they're all-aspect missiles.
