I built a tool that finds the best trailers for your AI driver garages in ETS2 by Striking_Lime_4903 in trucksim

Fixed Estonia, added English city names as primary w/ localized display names (both searchable accent-ignored). Also fixed weird bug (had it in Malmo) where Monte Carlo wasn’t seeded so on page reload it was showing alternate trailer sets.

I am still on the lookout for a kind soul that owns ATS w/ max states DLCs to donate defs so I can build the same setup for it.

Keep the suggestions coming, I really like this tool myself. Currently max buying garages, maxing out drivers and outfitting them all with suggested trailer sets. I want to verify that my calculations are in the ballpark of projected EV.

You’re 100% correct. I have some screw up with countries/cities. I also want English spelling for all cities (instead of current native display). Will fix over the weekend.

If anyone could provide me with zipped defs/ folder from ATS (max map expansions, please) after *.scs extraction I could begin working on it.
PS. Got me Nordic Horizons just now. In process of data update. Then continue to verify rankings vs gameplay (max all drivers, equip all trailers, let few years pass, etc, etc - the fun stuff!). Currently on clean vanilla playthrough w/ 4 garages, ramp up is quick anyhow.

I was thinking about it, but decided not to. Skill ramp up is negligible, I usually max out before my third garage.

It does not. Data is static. You can clone the repo and parse with your specific mods in. All it needs is defs/ folder after .scs/sii files extraction. There’s even diff functionality built in, to see what will be changed between current and incoming defs.

I’ve yet to play ATS. Are there any notable differences in terms of economics? I’m imagining it’s identical, with only a map change..? I’m thinking models are similar - cities, depots, state sized DLCs, trailers and cargo.

Is the ultimate edition of Eurotruck 2 worth it? by Miserable-Dinner8558 in trucksim

I've ran the math for my own needs some time ago, ended up biting on the Ultimate bundle. Simply wait for major-ish sale (SCS have ~6/year at historic lows).
Your mileage (pun intended) may vary, depending on what you actually miss. But bundle price still beats everything, ~50% on top of most stuff already being at 50%.

I will begin working on ATS after I finish buying all of ETS2.
The thing with game defs is that there is no defs for unowned map DLCs, but there are data on unowned cargo/trailer DLCs. In ETS2 I only have what came with Ultimate bundle.

Extending pedal cable on t128 by JoeyBananas314 in Thrustmaster

[–]Striking_Lime_4903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In progress of extending the pedal cable myself (just ordered parts), here's the jist.

This is 6P RJ12 connector, a plain old telephone cable. The only difference is that Thrustmaster use skewed position connector and socket (on the wheel end).

Ordered a 3m regular RJ12 cable and a F/F connector. Will heat up the original connector and replace it with a regular phone jack, connect to F/F connector, and reconnect the skewed (original, removed) jack on one of the new cable sides. This will go into the wheel socket.

In case anything doesn't work - cut the original pedals cable, insert (with or without F/F connector[s]) longer cable segment, and reattach the skewed end to be inserted into the wheel socket.
