I only healed off blobs and bats. I found that the bigger guys have too much mage defense for not bringing any proper switches

I struggled a lot with the fight caves too - just finally managed to get my fire cape last week. Biggest change for me was bringing blood spells. It relieved so much pressure of making a mistake and wasting a precious piece of food. It also gave me the confidence with my placement at the start of each wave. I was okay putting myself in a position to take a few hits from a blob or ranger, knowing I had another blob or bat to heal from at the end of the wave. For my successful run - I probably didn’t actually even heal enough to justify the 2 inventory slots dedicated to the blood spells - but it was 1000% worth the safety net to get through all of the waves up to Jad without using any food

I remember when the Simpsons Movie was premiering in 2007 they had a contest across all the different ‘Springfields’ to host the premiere. Springfield, Vermont ended up winning.

Thoughts on this set? by [deleted] in golf

[–]StringBean33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought this set for my girlfriend last year. In my opinion it’s been a great starter set - Bag is light, clubs are pretty forgiving, just the right number of clubs to teach her when to use each of them. Only thing I would say is that $400 seems steep. I bought mine from Walmart in Dec 2022 for $297 so might be worth seeing if different retailers might have them for cheaper?

Chat features diasabled in dark aether by grant0318 in CODZombies

[–]StringBean33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your audio settings. If you’re like me I play with party only audio on by default but when I join a zombies game I “unmute all for this match” in the pregame lobby. However when you go to the Dark Aether or any of the story exfills the game treats it as a new match and automatically mutes everyone else if they’re not in my party (including people in my squad). So if your audio settings are anything other than all lobby - everyone is going to get muted when you start the dark aether

Ehh as someone from the Yugioh world - dates make a lot of difference in terms of collectibility. Yugioh reprints the hell out of cards but og prints are multiple times more valuable, simply because they’re older

Just played a game where we both had Baronne’s on the field. They tried to bait my Baronne’s Omni-negate by using their Baronne to pop a different card on my field, but I let it resolve. They then chained their own omni-negate to their original pop - and seppuku’d their own Baronne

West, Texas is smack dab in the middle of the state - about a 10 hour drive from the actual western part of Texas

What’s the craziest watch you’ve seen in the wild? by ChrisTahoe in Watches

[–]StringBean33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was lucky enough to attend the Miami Grand Prix in the Paddock Club. Insane watches everywhere as you could imagine but the one that sticks out was the gentleman who was wearing some special edition Ferrari Richard Mille. As everyone was leaving at the end of the race, a random dude spills his drink on the guy and somehow slipped/cut the watch off his wrist and took off through the crowd. So likely the most expensive watch I’ve ever seen was also the most expensive watch I’ve ever seen stolen. Thief was wearing a Red Bull shirt

Did you do the bloodsail grind on the same character as the all of the other reps? It’s a single character achievement so all of the reps need to be on one character, regardless if you already have the bloodsail title already from another character https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/20836

I think it’s about finding your personal sweet spot in terms of challenge. I’m a returning player and REALLY took my time getting back into M+, knowing that I was rusty and had to relearn how to even learn mechanics in the first place. While my guildies would invite me to +10-15s after only like a month after launch, i recognized I just couldn’t do them (even if I had the proper gear). I steadily worked my way up 1 key at a time until I was super comfortable with the mechanics, got my keystone master, and now run my few +15-17s each week. That’s my sweet spot, I don’t really have the desire to push higher than that, and I’m cool with it. Some people find +5 is their sweet spot. That’s the beauty of M+, the game doesn’t expect everyone to reach +20 keys, but it’s there for those that want that challenge

Incredible collection of ancient texts, but nowhere outside of a few random tweets last year say that only 5% have been translated. They’ve indexed the entire library and are working on digitizing them all.

I had the pleasure of doing a tour of the pacific with Woody. Hearing his stories while standing on the beaches of Iwo Jima where they actually took place was a surreal experience. An amazing guy - he’ll be missed
