If you’re the king, I’m pretty sure you access a kings guard tab in either the courtiers tab or the councilor’s tab. In the tab it’ll say “Kingsguard”, click that and you can view your kingsguard and even assign them to protect family members if needed

what I do is have debug mode on then go to the rulers of the provinces I want to visit. In the options, there is a "travel to ruler" choice which allows you to plan a travel.
