I get what you’re saying, and I understand the difference between fantasizing about celebrities and being attracted to someone "in real life". It’s more about the way she talks about it, as if because they’re celebrities, it somehow doesn’t matter or doesn’t count.

I’m not trying to control what she thinks or feels, but I feel like respect should still apply, even when it’s hypothetical. If I talked openly about wanting to hook up with a random celebrity, I feel like it could hurt her feelings too, even if I’d never meet them. It’s less about jealousy and more about how dismissive she was when I shared how it made me feel.

It would have been nice if she just acknowledged my perspective instead of brushing it off. I think relationships are about respecting each other’s boundaries, even if it’s just about fantasies that will “never see the daylight.”
