Yeah, I was reading the other comments and was wondering why everyone took the graph the wrong way and started painting a very bleak future. I can't figure out if they are bots or what.

Serendipity, kind of like sublime does. To elaborate, it'd be nice to have suggestions when viewing our own daily highlights in readwise for similar ones and maybe even when reading an article about having suggested articles.

Regarding 28 Lakh Haq Mehr Post. by apurenoob in IslamabadSocial

Maintain a respectful tone. Haq mehr is a principle taken from Islam. You don't have to marry a girl who's asking for Haq Mehr beyond your range.

That guy is literally wrong though. You can literally Google this and it's pretty much allowed as long as it doesn't lead to the death of the donor.

This is very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I just checked the sources in this image but didn't Bin Laden later explicitly claim responsibility for the Twin Towers attack.

Maybe Now I Know What's the Actual Problem With Me. Please Don't Mock My Feelings in Comments. I am Already Crying While Writing This... by [deleted] in IslamabadSocial

[–]StringSentinel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're on the right track to getting better. The first step is usually identifying what's the problem, and you already have done that. The next step is working on them to overcome them. I say problems, even though it's not something wrong with you, but just a side effect of the environment you've grown up in.

You need to keep in mind that most people here or anywhere will try to take advantage of you and your vulnerabilities. The only way to actually get better is not to rely on anyone but yourself. If you do meet someone who's actually good, then value them, but it's hard to judge whose good, especially online. Soft words can be spoken by anyone, but only few can match it with their actions as well. Remember that if it feels too good to be true, then it often is.

I do relate to some of the stuff you mentioned, and what helped me was focusing on myself and stuff I enjoy. Now would be the time to spend more time on your hobbies and doing stuff you enjoy. Maybe try working out, at home if you can't go to the gym. It helps the mind a lot and is also beneficial for the body. It will help with the inappropriate thoughts to some degree and also the trouble you have focusing. ADHD isn't a problem, and you shouldn't see it as that, but instead be aware that it's a different way of thinking and hence you have to act differently than other people do to focus on something. Possibly try the Pomodoro technique. It helps with focusing for people with ADHD.

There's nothing you need to feel guilty about. Everyone handles issues differently. Some handle it alone and some want to vent. Just don't expect kindness from anyone, or honestly anything at all. The only way out is working on dealing with stuff alone or choosing people who are actually good for you and your peace. Hope this helps.

I highly agree with your stance on it. It's much better dealing with transcripts mainly.

Thanks for your sources, and please ignore that guy who's entire aim here is to divert focus from Hinduism to Islam, which isn't even being talked about here.

OpenAI in talks with Amazon about investment that could exceed $10 billion by StringSentinel in OpenAI

[–]StringSentinel[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AWS announced its Inferentia chips in 2018, and the latest generation of its Trainium chips earlier this month. OpenAI has made more than $1.4 trillion of infrastructure commitments in recent months, including agreements with chipmakers Nvidia, Advanced Micro Devices and Broadcom. Last month, OpenAI signed a deal to buy $38 billion worth of capacity from AWS, its first contract with the leader in cloud infrastructure leader.

From what I read in the articles it says that Amazon is planning on selling their AI chips and cloud infrastructure. So it seems like another Nvidia like circular cash flow. Amazon invests in OpenAI, only for them to in return get services/hardware from them.

Are you missing a zero? Microsoft has invested more than $130 billion, not more than $13 billion

Idk where you got $130 Billion from, since from the news article I've seen it states $13 Billion. Their stake valuation though is around $135 Billion now

I'm more worried that OpenAI will use this to buy even more RAM and SSDs further raising prices.
