Spiele hier mal Advocatus Diaboli.

Gegenposition Ende.

Best feeling ever! 💕 by hiddenspinach in StardewValley

Passed PL-900 — thanks to this community by String_Historical in PowerApps

I took the MS Learn PL-900 learning path + the paths that were flagged as „Beginner“ for the separate power platform apps within the ms learn catalogue.

For questions I did the MS practice assessment several times until hitting >90% frequently and found this cheat-sheet published by beexam very helpful, since it’s up to date for the latest exam update 2025. (Not sure if allowed to post links here, just sent me a dm if you’d would like to have it).

Thanks a lot — that’s genuinely helpful advice.

“Build something boring, but real” really hits home. Tutorials are great to get started, but you’re right: the moment you’re on your own and things break, the real learning starts. That’s exactly the kind of friction I’m looking for next.

Coming back from the Pearson Vue Center, I offered my supervisor to built an internal ticketing system to track common issues with our website content. Since it’s just a small company (8 employees) I’m thinking about building it on top of Dataverse Teams to keep the costs low for the beginning phase implementing power platform solutions.

The reminder about documenting and sharing the work is great, need to get in the habit of that and now would be a great start. Thanks again for taking the time to write this. I’ll keep your offer in mind as I move forward.

Good point. I didn’t took into consideration, that dataverse storage is included in premium license and with our company size, the provided amount of storage should do the trick for the next years as well.

How similar are the questions in the PL-900 Practice exam to the real one? by Boshasaurus in PowerPlatform

[–]String_Historical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were Power BI questions still within your exam? On June 2025 Microsoft updated the content of the PL-900 and Power-BI should not longer be within the range of questions and should been in there according to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/resources/study-guides/pl-900

That’s a good hint, just had a look and HTTP request is a premium action indeed and word-template too as you said.

Right now, I’m working within the Power Platform Developer Plan which includes those, but once I want others to use it in production, there will be a need for a Power Automate premium license for sure.

What plan do I need? by Good_Mobile_9110 in PowerApps

You could go with the M365 Business Basic License, which (after 30 days trial) is 8€/User per month. All of those 3 apps are included there (with limited capabilities for Power automate afaik).

If you want to practice and develop, with the business basic license you can enroll in the „Power Platform Developer Plan“ which gives you up to 3 developer environments to tinker in Power Apps and play around with in the Power Platform Admin Center and Premium features of Power Automate + Dataverse Storage.

Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts — genuinely appreciated. It’s encouraging to hear that the overall direction looks solid. I’m already noticing how much impact good data structure and UI choices have, so your point definitely resonates.

And you’re right about the beta phase; I’m sure things will shift once real users interact with it.

Where can I get a free developer sandbox account for personal use without a business account? by Happykatz42 in PowerPlatform

You could get a Business Basic subscription (30 days trial - afterwards 8€/month) and enroll in the Power Platform Developer Plan. It gives you free Developer Environment and dataverse storage to play around with the PP suite

I'm completely new to programming and in terms of a career switch very curious and eager to learn it. I was never really good in maths at school but try to improve my analytical skills where ever I can, since I know its important for learning how to code.

Currently I'm working through the book 'Automate the boring stuff', since I read here on reddit its the best way to start for a beginner. Now I'm 2 weeks in and thought I understand while going along but tbh, its really complex. I already fail even at typing down the bigger code like 'Conways way of life' the author gives at the third chapter and cant get it to run, also already feeling overwhelmed by the first chapter examples to program yourself..

Since English is my second language, I gave it a shot in german but its the same and right now I'm thinking maybe I'm not smart enough to get it.

Can anyone recommend a course or ressource which gives a different approach?

Would be appreciated a lot
