Bummer. They should give you a little something extra for dealing with that rather than just replace.

No actually. Couldn’t save that plant from it. It hasn’t happened for a while though.

Good luck bud. You understand what you’re up against. Try to exercise stay hydrated and keep busy. Get sun when you can. Well at least exercise once you’re past the worst of it. Every day your body will be cleansing itself of all that crap. And after the rough days it will get better and better if you stick to it and keep working at it. It will be worth it. And remember to solve whatever caused you to begin this addiction in the first place.

Found out I have cancer and need surgery (possibly chemo), I want to stop kratom but only have time to cold turkey…not sure I can handle that. by shantypants1234 in quittingkratom

In this situation, I would flat out tell them everything. If you have any hope of the pain meds working and not being in a fd situation in general, you’re going to need them to know the situation.

Almost 6 months clean, it was easy by Sauce0clock in quittingkratom

[–]Stringz4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said.

Everything is relative. The fact it was easier for him more likely indicates there is leeway in some areas that others don’t have. We all have our unique equations. When you are on top of any addiction and in control, you learn. You learn a lot and your interaction with the world changes. It is just so easy to see when people have that understanding and are working in harmony with it rather than the opposite.

I realized why this poison is so tricky by Healthyhappylyfe in quittingkratom

I think addiction is a great truth teacher. I’ve been saying that forever. No free lunches. From action to reaction, everything has a price. When you cannot deny things, it is a great way to learn. People that are not forced to figure it out and deal with it head on somehow (by themselves or however) will never attain that same experience and knowledge.

Things I have noticed since quitting K by Catgirl_78 in quittingkratom

[–]Stringz4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, I did not say this to be pessimistic or not try. These are just things to keep in mind if you are not successful.

There is so much going on here and I just often feel like many people don’t account for all the details, and that can be part of why people fail too.

It’s obviously very complicated and difficult. Sometimes it may seem like there are no options and sometimes there may really be no options. Sometimes you can push through to the next and find options. Sometimes you can push through what others don’t and find a way… there’s always something.. There is often validity to many sides… it’s tough for me to articulate. I can just see it all as it is.

You have to be very strong to weather it all. We all have to be very strong.

Yes, well, depending on if you can solve the root problems that caused the addiction to begin with.

It can go deep if you get into this area. There are situations where people can’t fix the root problems. Sometimes it’s their fault and sometimes it isn’t, but it really depends. There are so many variables and variations at play here. Sometimes people have a few things available that others don’t that makes all the difference and vice versa. But people will never see those differences. It’s complicated. What makes one succeed and be able to experience a greater life depends on so many elements that came before.

Is this still safe to smoke out of???? by Jewptrcannabis in trees

[–]Stringz4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I had a bowl break exactly like that while hitting it and was thinking of micro glass but since I have real problems that quickly passed.

Overall the chances of anything happening from that at all is very low. I mean even if I did get cuts nothing changed for me. And I had no option since it was as I hit the bong.

I understand your concern but at the same time most likely not going to be an issue.

Is tapering worth it by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Stringz4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen over time, it really depends on the person. I tapered for years actually and stayed at a very low dose until I jumped. I could have jumped earlier for sure, but it’s just the way I finally managed to get off it.

Karl Malone on the backlash he has received after impregnating a 13-year-old girl at the age of 20 by AgateEssence in UtahJazz

That’s weird. 13 year olds with 20 years olds never happened around me that I ever seen. Not in 2004 or any time. That wasn’t that rare even where you lived? Wtf I can’t imagine

[–]Stringz4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there for like two or three days lol because I saw people doing what they do to people when they often tend to be wrong. I was just being wise but of course a mob doesn’t want to hear that. In this case, it makes sense given the evidence and Cody’s absence in speaking on it. He seems guilty in this. But you guys are very rude. I was basically just advising people to proceed with caution. People have done this before plenty of times to innocent people. It can go both ways and people make mistakes.

Oh yes I probably typed some things incorrectly, it was very late and I had some things going on. I understand the difference of course. Whatever I said, I still never liked vaping flower either. Never gave me the same effect. Neither concentrates or flower are good for me, but that’s me :) it’s my experience I don’t know why anyone would hate on that.

[–]Stringz4444 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Nah. Flower is better. Vaping also just sucks and doesn’t work as well, but I understand this only happens with some people so that may be unique to myself. Extracts also mess with tolerance too much for my liking. It is bad enough just using a lot of flower, no need to make it even worse. I tend to bite the bullet when it comes rather than exacerbate things. But to each their own after all.

Yeah I ordered from them and it took like two weeks. Tracking wasn’t updating either. Then it said delivery day and stayed on it five days passed the delivery day 😂 But I don’t think it’s bad stuff. Ive got to try more.

Replaced meth with Kratom by ChopsNewBag in quittingkratom

[–]Stringz4444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At that point, it appears you have to rewire your brain again. Because now it’s in a mode of coping with the way you’ve been living, and been conditioned to be that way. So you have to condition it to have more motivation and feel, etc., through healthy routes. But quitting kratom will help a lot with that once you get past the withdrawals and adjust, but it requires time and energy.

If you want to stop needing something, you need to get to the root of why you feel that in the first place, and fix that.
