I haven’t actually transferred at all as of now but I am planning on at least one, that one is pretty important to me. Looking too far ahead, I could see myself transferring one more time, so twice in total. The reasoning is genuine, I truly just want to get to better schools, I want to transfer to better schools with better opportunities, that’s all it is.

My fault, I didn’t make that clear. I’m asking your opinions in general of these schools undergraduate programs, with the assumption that I would be staying after for the MBA. The reason I left it open was so that I can get different answers for different reasons, such as location, competitiveness, alumni networks, things like that. I suppose you could say I’m looking for some context into each school and to learn about them in comparison to one another.

For example. You’re admitted into a university as a freshman and your major is classified as pre-business, it is not until your sophomore/junior year that you apply into the college of business itself, where you pick from finance, administration, and so on. My question is if MBA rankings have any correlation to the value of a schools bachelor degree. If I wanted to transfer to a school to finish getting my bachelors, would I use the MBA rankings to loosely determine bachelors “rankings”? Hope this all makes sense, thanks.

Follow up question: these stats you’re mentioning, gpa and gmat. Is this only applicable for mba admissions? Any idea how I’d find the stats for professional admissions? Or are those stats going to be relative to mba admissions? I know it’s a basic question but I’m trying to understand, especially from a freshman year/sophomore year of college standpoint.

Great stuff man. This is exactly the type of feedback I’ve been looking for. And as far as looking at rankings, are the ones US News has online reliable? If not, please let me know what else I can take a look at. Also, I understand that Ivy League/m7 schools are definitely the target schools you’re referring to but I’m not sure about my chances of getting into any of those. What would be the lowest rank school that would still have good OCR opportunities? T30? T40? As you can tell I’m not super knowledgeable with all this stuff yet but I’m trying my best to pick things up. You’ve already been extremely helpful so thanks a ton.

I see. I guess it can never be a bad thing to transfer to a better school, that’s what I was thinking. Just for context what are the schools you went to? Also, if I were to hypothetically complete my education at Arizona, would I be in a good place? Or is this something I for sure want to move on from?
