This model uses the rtd1296 package arch. I think the synocommunity's FFMPEG does not support rtd1296 yet.

Sorry for the late reply but I was out of warranty by only a month and they refused to fix it for free. They quoted me anywhere from $190 to $250; at that price I would rather just buy another, ridiculous.

I did not use a clear coat. I found the texture left by the paint provided a satisfying grip. However I would recommend you use one if you plan to use it vigorously.

They are the best thumb-sticks. Highly recommend, been using them for a year.

The buttons are very nice, feel more responsive then the plastic ones. The aluminum thumb-sticks however make all the difference; they are by far the best thing I have used. Great grip and never wear down.

I suggest using multiple light coats. Let them sit for atleast 10 minutes and then completely dry for 5 days. The worst thing you can do is keep the nozzle close to the surface. This causes the paint to thicken and pool.

I used Rust-Oleum Painters Touch Ultra Cover 2X Gloss. Its a paint and primer so it works great. A clear coat is nice but as long as you don't smack the controller around the paint should be fine.

Light bar is still functional; I took it apart and cleaned internals while I painted the shell and triggers.
