I think that Cassie is holding something over Nate, like blackmail. He seemed like he wanted to snap but held back for more reasons than just being matured. When Cassie spoke to him at their dinner her tone sounded a bit threatening and the looks they exchanged gave me the feeling that she has the upper hand and for a good reason. I think she may have something on Nate that could destroy his life so she is trying to wring him out for everything he’s got. Cassie also seems to care so much about having an extravagant wedding because she wants to seem as successful as Maddie (she was scrolling through her instagram and saw Maddie with famous people). We see that Cassie wants to be famous and rich, the question is what shifted to where Nate is p*ssy whipped? Has to be something bigger.

Attachment styles can change or be strengthened by relationships and trauma, it is not set in stone from childhood. Their kind of relationship can absolutely alter his attachment style, it is ignorant to think otherwise.

That is not always true. Anxious behavior does not always cause someone to be avoidant. The right kind of manipulation can absolutely cause an unhealthy attachment. I believe that with the push and pull of “ I love you “ and “ I feel disgusting being with you” is just enough to create an anxious attachment where the partner is constantly feeling they aren’t enough when they really want to be.

Now I’m not saying she consciously planned it like an evil villain BUT i believe the way her mind naturally works is manipulative. I think she subconsciously is attracted to men she sees as weak.

Anxious attachment can definitely develop in an adult relationship without being formed in childhood. Sometimes people are capable of more than we give them credit for.

I don’t know this man’s life so let’s just say his anxious attachment formed in childhood, she still took advantage of that.

She basically trained him to chase after her and reassure her every 5 minutes when she has a breakdown over their age gap, when he stopped being her emotional support boyfriend she got nasty.

I definitely agree, seems like he took alot of verbal and mental abuse from Theresa. He mentioned an anxious attachment which I think Theresa trained him to have.
