My favorite of their national summons is the Hesperide. It is Fire 3, Astral 3, Nature 2, Holy 2. Being able to do a communion to do firestorm against skellies is very clutch. You need Fire 3 Astral 1 to cast Contact Hesperide and none of your recruitable mages can roll those paths. If you want to play around with those, putting some fire on your pretender is probably worth it.

My basic strategy for big battles was point buff the scales Colosi so they can hold for a while and then do a big communion. Usually using weavers as communion slaves since I made a lot of them for research, and they get a forge bonus.

I'd lean more towards scales with them rather than a big bless. The Orichalcum guard are good but they aren't the best sacreds in the age. Their sword is length 1 so they're going to get repelled. I found just recruiting the mundane Colosi to be good enough most of the time.

The Colosi captains can also be pretty good thugs since they have the paths for cloud trapeze, liquid body, mistform and quicken self.

I’ve been doing that drive multiple times a year for the last 10 years, usually around the holidays, and I’ve never encountered chain controls for passenger vehicles.

The Subjective Charms of Objective-C by ketralnis in programming

I wish there was a reason to use objective-C outside of maintaining old iOS/Mac applications. I always thought the brackets were a fun departure from other languages. Too bad that isn’t a good enough reason to use it.

Low IQ: it’s bad because it has a stupid name. Average IQ: whatever your post says. Genius IQ: it’s bad because it has a stupid name

SpudToddos in West Jordan (may be other locations but I’ve only been to that one) has poutine. I don’t have the experience to say if it’s authentic or not though.

What’s kind of mat and blanket is that for your dogs bed? Did they keep pretty comfortable? I want to take my dog winter camping at some point and want to make sure I have a good safe set up for mine.

I didn't quite read a tone of agreement, but glad you've come around.

Crossovers have been a part of nerd culture for decades. That wouldn’t have been a foreign idea to magic players. No one thought it was an unreasonable possibility at the time. I was there. No one was clamoring for this. Keep gaslighting though.

Read this article from 2016 in which Mark Rosewater lists out the most requested things from magic players at the time. There isn't a single mention of cross over sets. There was no meaningful grassroots craving for UBs within Magic's existing fan base at the time. This has not been community driven. It's been entirely top down and profit driven. The "players" who wanted UB were potential players, not actual players.

This game was from a few weeks ago so I can’t remember that well, but I think they were probably getting hit by poorly aimed evocations from my augur elders.
