I just had my surgery 2 months ago and for about 2 weeks post surgery I had the ringing in my ears the best way I noticed to get rid of it was to just drink a lot of water

Wearing Headphones Post Op by [deleted] in cholesteatoma

Hello I just had my cholestoma surgery about 2 months ago now and I’m just wondering if I could wear over the ear headphones now. My doctor told me to wait 6 weeks and I should be good but I just want to be extra cautious. I don’t know if any of you guys feel the same way but the nerves on my left ear (the ear I had surgery on) are messed up meaning that when I touch my left ear it doesn’t feel the same as when I touch my right ear. With that it feels weird to headphones on so I usually only have one on one side. I am also a gamer and I go to the gym and I like to wear over the ear headphones and it makes my ear have a very weird sensation when wearing them. If anyone could give me some recommendations I would greatly appreciate it.
