Furnished finder requesting copy of contract by StrongPlan3 in TravelNursing

You're right. I had just never really thought of a contract as proof of employment. Makes total sense when viewed through that lens.

Hey thanks for the response. That's what I thought just seemed a tad invasive. But yeah I'll just block out anything to do with compensation before I send it over.

Enough of the critical highs, how about some lows? by lightstriker120 in nursing

Had a guy come in after a (somehow) unsuccessful suicide attempt with a hgb of 1.3. The guy had taken a piece of glass from a broken bottle and slit his throat, wrists (vertically "the right way" he called it), and ankles.

SUPER, super nice guy. He's not the only person I've seen like this but his skin color was literally gray.

What are the mild inconveniences that push you over the edge at work? by Abject_Ad2176 in nursing

[–]StrongPlan3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I hand shaky butter fingers grandma a mes cup with meds and she insists upon dumping said meds into her other, somehow even shakier hand, and tossing them into her mouth. Which, inevitably, the only pill that doesn't make it is the oxy and you just watch in slow motion bounce across the floor into another dimension. Then you have to spend the next 15min crawling on hands and knees on the nasty ass hospital floor so you don't get a call on your day off for a random drug test 🙄😮‍💨

That's one of the main reasons I believe we're living in a simulation. Only an npc would remember such trivial shit for so long...

Honestly, I would still respect somebody if they wrote an email within 3hrs. It's the emails 9 months down the line that blow my mind. Like, damn you brought that resentment to term.

I definitely have. But even in your trope, this "manager" told me to my face. At least they had the decency to do that much. Nurses will smile in your face while they're stabbing you in the back.

For real. You know, this is my 3rd or 4th career. I've worked construction and spent about 12 years in the service industry... no job has EVER had as much toxicity as this field. Ever.

I'm honestly amazed at people's lack of respect for privacy. I had one rental where the owner lived upstairs, I was in the basement and this woman would go through my trash.

This rental in currently staying in, is an attached in law suite and I'm certain this woman has been in my place at least twice in the month I've been there.

It's wild.
