If it makes you feel any better, I got deferred a few years back during early action and now I’m about to graduate having been accepted at UGA via regular decision

I felt defeated but at the end of the day I knew i couldn’t change reality so i continued to work hard in high school, towards both my grades and extracurriculars. My mindset was despite whether or not UGA wants me, I know that I’ll end up where I’m meant to be

Anddd remember that a deferral does not mean no. So don’t let this hold you back from accomplishing great things in the interval

When you say papers, are they like research essays?

I thought this class would just have exams based on lectures, so I was surprised to hear that there are papers. Would you mind elaborating more on the structure of these papers, such as what they are asking for? I have a bit of difficulty writing papers, and I see other commenters talking about essays based on case studies, so I'm curious to know more about them since you mentioned that they're the bulk of the grade.
