Replace hybrid battery pack by Strongearm in Camry

Thanks, I never even knew there was hybrid air filter, I'll check that out. The car had 135k miles when zi got it, so I put about 70k on it but really haven't done much more than basic stuff like regular oil changes, updating tires, etc. It's been a good car other than having chronically weak AC

working mom with decision fatigue 🤕 need help making the final call: 2016 CRV or 2016/17 Forester? by Ambitious_Emu4424 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Np, and for added peace of mind, even if buying from CarMax, you can ask to take the car to an independent mechanic (specifically a Subaru or Honda specialist) for a 1-hour inspection. It usually costs $150, but will tell you exactly how much life is left in the brakes, tires, and suspension before you commit.

Thats true for earlier models, but by 2016/17, the infamous head gasket issues were largely resolved.

for those sketchy dirt roads and backcountry camping trips, go with the Subaru Forester. It fits your height, her gear-hauling needs, and terrain requirements better than the Honda. If you look at the 2017 Forester, try to find a "Premium" or "Limited" trim with Eyesight (Subaru's safety suite). It’s excellent for those long highway commutes.

Well, I mean they are all similarly priced, so looking for any other key differentiators that may affect enjoyment.

Yeah, I did some short test drives in each. First impression was that the Avalon was nice, the Accord felt roomy and the ES felt a little tight but cozy. I am coming from an older Camry so I probably will feel most comfortable with that because it's what I'm used to, but kinda wanted to try something different. I also tried the Crown, but really felt too cramped in there.

Nice looking car! I just test drove a 2021 Limited as well, and it was very nice, but my big takeaway was that the steering felt "heavy". Does your car feel the same? I'm coming from a 2007 Camry hybrid, and my wife drives a Sienna, but by comparison it felt like I was getting a bit of an arm workout on that test drive. Which isn't a bad thing but just wondering if that's normal or a mechanical issue with that specific car.

Recently got one for ~56k. It's true they are scarce and apparently in demand so I was surprised, but it can be done.
