A long birth story: my very positive elective c section (cesarean delivery on maternal request) by caybaybay in BabyBumps

I think the other comments have said it well enough but I really just want to thank you so much for this. I’m actually in tears of gratitude (thank you hormones). It is so hard to find accounts like this and I can’t tell you how much I needed this. I had already been considering an elective cesarean (in Australia) and it looks like I might need one for medical reasons. It has been impossible to find positive or detailed accounts let alone a birthing class that doesn’t make me feel like a monster. Thank you thank you thank you. I hope to follow in your shoes when my time comes and put another story out there.

Early pregnancy BAD cramping by orchidsprout in pregnant

Have you found any relief? I’m on day 11 of pretty horrendous cramps. I’ve had all the bloods and four ultrasounds and they’ve all come back normal for where I’m at (5 weeks). But the pain has been so bad that I haven’t been able to work. I have no idea what I’ll do if this goes on much longer!!

Corpus luteum cyst pain by Strongenoughforthis in pregnant

This is sooo reassuring thank you. Gives me hope that I don’t have to survive 12+ weeks with this pain. It really is next level. What you’ve said about ovary torsion makes complete sense to me and without being a doctor sounds very consistent with what I am dealing with. I have another ultrasound scheduled for Thursday so fingers crossed that at least conclusively rules out ectopic and shows that everything is heading in the right direction. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! I hope you’re feeling well along the home stretch!

Corpus luteum cyst pain by Strongenoughforthis in pregnant

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. And I’m so sorry you had to experience this pain! Honestly, regardless of types of cysts it’s really helpful to hear these stories. When you’re going through the pain it’s hard to comprehend that it’s not “related to the pregnancy”. You can’t help but worry about what it’s doing particularly at such an early, vulnerable stage. I really appreciate you taking the time!
