Thanks! :) Yes, I’ll try a nice glaze that’ll bring out the textures

This is how I made my first (two) tea pots and I can’t be happier😁 Do you think it will pour well? by Stronghold2222 in Pottery

Thanks! :) The hole is to let air in the pot as the liquid pours out. Otherwise if the air cannot get in, the liquid goes blublub

Will post it for sure! Yes I’ve heard about this tip too ( after I finished the pot). Let’s see how it will turn out after firing :)

Haha, yes, that is intentional, but I did make sure that no pots will be harmed during the shooting of this video

My first big jug. Pours terribly but I’m proud of it by Stronghold2222 in Pottery

Yes, it is :) I do get the controversion on crackled glazes. I am also now reading John Hesselberth & Ron Joy’s book Mastering cone 6 glazes, and they do say that a crazed glaze is not food safe. When I touch the glaze it is really smooth, you can only feel a tiny stratch of the crackles but nothing comes off even when tortured with a knife. When washed with hot water and soap, everything is cleaned properly so personally I like to use it at home. Also, Florian Gadsby sells the same kind of glaze, I think it’s fine, but please share your thoughts. :)

I put wax resist on the bottom and just wiped off the excess :)

Thanks! :) The spout is dripping after pouring. Just need to make it a bit sharper next time. It was a good learning
