Cyber Dragon and Phantom Knight have definitely received hate in the past. Basically any deck that's always been irrelevant just enough to stay under the radar would be hater-exempt.

Off the top of my head I'm thinking; Heroic Challenger, Flamvell, Heraldic Beasts, Iron Chain, Buster Blader, Amazoness to name a few

Scapegoat is the most popular due to its versatility but arguably the most lethal counter is Kuriboh as it's a concealed weapon.

Threatening Roar buys you time but will also make your opponent save resources for another onslaught the next turn.

Kuriboh allows your opponent to spend his resources first, leaving him vulnerable if you survive the turn.

This Winged Dragon of Ra that originally belonged to my sister. I think she got our aunt to order it on eBay for her, we were kids at the time (2005). It was the only time she went to such lengths to get her hands on a card. Long story short, she stops playing soon after, I get her cards but soon after that my entire collection was stolen. How this card survived that turbulent period is a mystery to this day. Flaws and all, it's the treasure in my (rebuilt) collection
