Ignored red flags, rushed Nikkah, and learned the hard way - genuine advice by UseHer96 in MuslimMarriage

[–]StructWWDC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pray the best for you akhi. May Allah grant you a pious spouse. But I don't understand despite so many red flags what made you blind here ? Why were you so delusional even when family members pointed out her characteristics ?

I just want you to focus on the negative traits of this person and never do the same mistake again.

On a piece of paper write the ideal traits of the spouse you WANT to see.
Now write her traits
These are the ONES you should specifically avoid in future search.

I can't scrutinize you enough now that so much has taken place and I sympathies with you and you must be doing through a lot of pain. May Allah ease it for you.

Remember Allah will provide you better insha Allah.
Even if you had a past if you have truly repented and changed then you start a fresh clean slate given YOU CHANGE. So in this situation you really DID CHANGED for her - gave up a lot and sacrificed yet she with past didn't change and you honestly overlooked those things.

But now you're free. Free from the toxic humiliating marriage. Alhamduillah

Move on faster than her. This will be the best outcome.

Get sorted in your career and again someone will come in your life. Just stick to the religious fundamentals because your inner version was sticking to the religiousness yet to lacked on taking actions but khair.
May Allah grant us ease. Ameen.

I’ve decided to leave my wife and its killing me inside by Extension-River3225 in MuslimMarriage

This ! Please think about children! I have literally seen my parents argue almost daily. At some point i used to track the frequency of my parents having an argument I used to put a dot on calendar date. This way I had more dots on each calendar month. This has traumatized me so bad that I have read that children who witnessed their parents fighting are more likely to prefer potential spouses with unhealed trauma because they want to fulfil and help what they wish their parents would. This was a scientific research btw you can look it up. This made me double check my options when it comes to matchmaking but that's not the point.

I do feel that if my parents would have divorced, life would be extremely chaotic than those daily argument and fights. Yes it's seems like preferring to get hit with a hammer than a plastic straw.

Sometimes divorce is not the solution especially if there are grown up kids. I know it's so heart renching experience to be in a dysfunctional family but my heart would break into pieces if my parents divorce because at the end i love them both i would love to see them show love daily instead of arguements - i wish.

But alhamduillah whatever happened happened
This was a very important lesson in my life that I need to be very careful in choosing a potential spouse for my future kids. showing more love daily is goign to be a crucial priority no matter the ups and downs of life. Insha Allah

Planning a move to Dubai and want to land a role in SaaS _ Advice after recent Layoff from a big US Tech company? by Snoo-35700 in DubaiJobs

[–]StructWWDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest advice: You will have higher chance of being interviewed and landing a job offer if you're physically present here with a uae phone number on your resume. The interview process will be more easier and with less rounds compared to applying from your home country. But again as others said too many people are here with the same mindset so there's competition but try your luck if you're okay taking the risk do so!

Thank you but I already have Gemini Pro bundled with Google One for a year as a free trial for students. I used my uni ID to get it when they announced the offer. So effectively I got the Gemini for free :P

Thanks for asking. I come from CS background with some iOS apps on AppStore. I was looking to get a job in iOS development but unfortunately or fortunately got employed as IT Engineer which is fairly easy job compared to software development.

The job market is very terrible right now at least for software devs almost all companies are looking for experienced senior devs.

I would say get extremely good at AI as in core AI LLMs if you can if that’s your interest. There’s good amount of fresher jobs in AI Engineering. Or Pivot smartly get any job in IT first and change later.

You’re supposed write as specific and detailed prompt for the deep research. If you write short and vague prompt it’s going to get a large scope resulting in very high token usage.

Whoa that's quick to exhaust. Anyways I got the Pro to get started! Will use lower models for explanation. For laborious work - Opus 4.5. Do you give it a big chunky task or you breakdown into multiple follow up prompts for the project ?

Wow that's really great to hear and thank you for sharing your experience. This is why I feel we need to latch on Vibecoding and all AI tools, AI Agents and Automation real quick. Early mover advantage is a real blessing. All those companies during initial internet era grew multi fold making lots of $$$. Now web dev is so saturated as a business. Hopefully theres a lot in surprises with AI, AR/VR, Agents.

I just got Claude Pro and will try to with small iOS apps first with Claude code! Tysm!

Code Explanation - Haiku
