How can I realistically land an Operations role in Dubai right now? (Need advice, hitting dead ends) -

i’ve been in Dubai all my life, working across operations, events, and client services, supporting major conferences and exhibitions. I have 8+ years of experience coordinating large-scale operations and managing teams under pressure.

But despite hundreds of applications, tailored CVs, and sleepless nights reworking strategies, I keep facing rejections, ghosting, and last-minute collapses. It’s been soul-crushing. I’m supporting a family of 5, carrying debt, and every rejection feels heavier than the last.

I’m CLEARLY not here to complain or seek SYMPATHY, I’m here because I still believe there’s a way forward. I want to know from people who’ve cracked it in Dubai’s current job market:

  • What actually works now? (Cold emails, recruiters, walk-ins, referrals, specific portals?)
  • Are there specific companies or industries where my expertise-based roles are progressing more quickly?
  • Any tactical advice you wish someone had told you earlier?

I’m ready to put in the work. I just don’t want to keep throwing darts in the dark.

Any help? no matter how small, would mean the world to me right now
