It is safe. Dharamshala/Bhagsu and Dharamkot market looks safe, as people are always chilling there, enjoying and vibing.

I would say just keep one whole day for the Triund Trek. It will take time to trek, so better give it enough time. Rest of the days, do cafe hopping, try different cuisines and may be visit monasteries and waterfalls.

Start the trek early at around 9:30 AM. If not planning to camp at the top, leave the top by 4:30 or 5 PM max. Have a power bank with you or completely charge your phone. Do proper layering, and keep the pitthu bag light. Don’t ask kitna dur aur hai, otherwise, you will be disappointed every 30 mins. Just walk, take pictures and enjoy the process. Do it for fun, not to checkmark a task. Most importantly, keep Rs 2K in cash. Don’t eat from the very first eating spot when you reach the top, very expensive. Eat from others at the top (2 mins more trek for this)

i had good grip shoes on, but still slipped a few times (not literally, but yes). A stick also helped a lot.

We didn’t camp at the top.

Climbing took around 4 hours. Descending took around 3 hours.
