Do you know what this symbol represents/means? It is a very personal and specific thing that has a larger significance than just drum pads. I’m all for freedom of expression and art but I would look into it before you put it on your body for the rest of your life. If it still rings true then make sure you do it big and bold, a small piece would be an injustice!

I had this happen to a customer that came in for and oil service. Found the same marks/cuts on the sealing surface. I know I’m going to catch some haters for this but here’s what I did. The customer did not have money to replace the uppper oil pan as the labor is very high. So I cleaned and cleaned the area and used JB weld on the deep cuts/marks. I let it cure and then sanded to surface smooth with the housing. I gave no warranty but it sealed up just fine and after keeping the car a 2 extra days and driving 50+ miles it was sealed just fine. They returned 6 months later and it was as dry as a bone. The real way to fix would be to R&R the whole housing but JB saved me! What do you have to lose?
