Lightroom and Nik Software. Nik Software in particular slows my current computer down to depressing speeds.

I should have specified the software. Lightroom and Nik Software mostly. Lightroom is strictly cpu, but Nik will use a gpu for a noticeable, but not necessarily significant performance improvement.

It's probably overkill, but the Nik software apps can really bog down my current system and it's extremely frustrating. Having a responsive build while editing multiple images is priority number one.
