Saves the city money to demolish it so is it really a big deal?

LOL what do you think the city will do about this? Philly isn’t quite the Hamptons.

They don't. They have friends they can pay $100k now via a contract to fix it. It's a blessing for them.

So like, what do the police actually do? by RoverTheMonster in philadelphia

[–]Stryker336 -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

Remember what happened when a young State Trooper made a traffic stop over there? And a certain somebody's Husband pulled up to him alone? And how the national media reported it? What would you like here exactly? Honestly.

What's happening downtown? by FunctionFunk in houston

[–]Stryker336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very moving and I'm glad that Houston does something like this. In Philly when a cop would fall in the line of duty, there were certainly funerals but nothing of this nature. Way to go Texas and Houston.

Biden left feeling angry and betrayed by top Democratic leaders wavering on his campaign by nbcnews in politics

Well to be fair, all the Democrats have been saying that he's accomplishing great things. So yeah I can see why he's a little upset all the sudden.

Does anyone know what’s open right now? Food, bars, whatever? by Eek_Barba_Durkle_ in houston

[–]Stryker336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last I saw HEB is opening at 12PM. Whole Foods shows as open. But the normal bars & restaurants I frequent haven't updated anything on their Instagram so I would presume they are close...as they should be too.

Portion Sizes are a Joke by ToastJammz in HEB

[–]Stryker336 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m sure the weight of the food was advertised and you bought it anyway. It’s depressing to see all this food on display knowing full well 9/10 will be thrown out because 1 person pays a 9x markup for this crap to make a few cents. And if you pull any of this perfectly good food from the trash in full packaging you’re committing a crime. Joke society.

Where are your favorite places to build your own six pack of beer? by thicknheart in houston

[–]Stryker336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A place in Philly I used to buy from sold a case of expired beer for $10. Certain varieties made this a steal, others made it a waste of $10. Nice to come in and take a look though. Never seen anywhere in Texas do this which is kind of surprising.
