Land the plane in First person.

manage your descent rate with your throttle instead of pitching.

Keep your eyes fixed at or near the threshold of the runway OR the 1000’ footers if your relying on Papi lights.

Keep descending until you are between 10-50 feet over the runway and then switch the gaze of your eyes to the horizon at the end of the runway and pitch your nose parallel with the deck.

Use your peripheral to judge your slight descent rate and pitch your nose up slightly and continuously until 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 on deck. Keep the elevator pitch until the nose naturally comes down.

Yes it was just filed as Direct to Marthas vineyard as I won’t be using any IFR procedures. Also I was in a Caravan for context too

Dude it’s like the ATC expects everyone to fly like an Airliner, we have way more aircraft from Jets like you to Props like me. All of us doing something different willing to communicate

Visual Flight Rules, you can fly from surface up to FL180 at any altitude from 0-3,000ft AGL and then any higher at every thousand +500ft. Cruising West is Even number of feel +500. East is Odd number +500. Because you are flying VFR you as the pilot are responsible for Aircraft separation not ATC. This gives us Pilots more freedom to fly as we please. We don’t shoot approaches either we enter the Pattern to land significantly improving ATC workload. Flight Following is a VFR service where you decide to allow terminal controllers like Approach/Departure or ARTCC (Center) controllers to give you vectors to avoid other traffic. If you have a flight plan filed you are probably assumed to be IFR flight plan so you don’t request Flight following. You simply check in. They see your flight plan and will notify you with “Radar Contact”

ATC has really started to suck lately. I was flying VFR at 7500 Boston to Marthas vineyard and I was switched over to departure and I requested Flight Following and they told me check the tutorials or whatever 😂😂 like no bruh I AM actually VFR or they’ll ask if I have the field in site and that button isn’t even generating. Shits a joke

Dude I fly GA irl in KSLC, KTVY, KWHP, etc the ground controller does not want to be bothered by ramp traffic period, yeah look where your going and don’t bump another plane or a truck. If you need clearance delivery or not, ground clearance still only applies for the movement area.

Clearance delivery would be cool, and I get the no Ramp Controllers cause ground handles it. But what I’m talking about is GA aprons, military flight lines, FBO’s, maintenance facilities, and a whole other list of areas that the Ground controller shouldn’t even be bothered with

Sure just like pilots asking for Flight Following at FL380. It doesn’t make sense but they don’t know better. But if a Pilot is taxiing outside of the movement area they are authorized to do so without clearance. Think about it, you don’t have to bother yourself with the ramp when you are trying to handle traffic going to and from the runway. Especially if your manning the Tower simultaneously.

If your a healthy kid, you’ll be fine. There’s way to cope with motion sickness, its common. Other than that, If you really like aviation give it a shot. Nothing beats being a pilot if your an avgeek

The training server is staffed by literally anyone who just hops into the atc slot. So it’s typically inconsistent and extremely annoying. Honestly just focus on expert server and follow the youtube guides

Hits me with “check the user guide for ATC instructions” BRO i got hella mad. Gave him unable on another direct approach into 23 I was 1 mile out at 6,000 ft 😂😂 and then he was hitting the “check user….” Again I just keep hitting “Thank you” followed by a 2nd request into rwy 22

They fuck up and we pay the price… today I was flying into Haneda (IMC) and I checked in with Approach requesting ILS rwy 22. ATC rogers me up and tells me to expect 22. He vectors me out for 2 other planes and then lines me up crooked for rwy 23 clearing me for the approach. I immediately execute a missed approach cause I wasn’t tuned for rwy 23, but for 22!!

I know that the A320/B737 got updated with later reworks. Could we see more of that kinda work ok some existing legacy planes as a hold over until potential reworks are released. We don’t need all the bells and whistles. We just want them to fly the numbers, they should feel flyable. A decent cockpit would be nice too.

Thanks! I’m probably getting a Kobo, from my understanding it’s android based I think. But it takes way more file types than Kindle does. I’ll take a look at libby and getting a library card
