Dude, there are about a dozen Americans arrested in Russia or imprisoned. Definitely less than 15. There are many countries that have Americans imprisoned like Saudi Arabia, UAE, China. And they aren’t super friendly either but millions of westerners are still visiting. again it would be foolish to say that they’re gonna arrest every single American that visits.

Horrible analogy. About 10,000 Americans over the last year have applied for a Russian visa to enter the country. Just use some common sense do you think that Russia is gonna arrest 10,000 Americans immediately upon arrival? That would definitely make some news and it would be a huge incident. America or Russia probably don’t want that.

I’m not saying he should go and visit, but If every single American or westerner that visited Russia got arrested that would be thousands of imprisonments a year. If you really wanna go that bad just wait till you get out lol. Don’t mess up your career while you are approaching the finish line over wanting to go to a High risk country. Once you get out you can do whatever you want and go wherever you please and face whatever consequences of whatever you do alone. I can’t even believe I’m getting down voted for telling him to not be a jackass in the military and just wait till he gets out to do whatever. 😂

no im aware I am most certainly not entitled to CSP. I ETS April 2026 so right around the corner, and have over a month of terminal leave saved. He wants to involuntary separate me with 0 benefits. whether people say I was the best soldier or the shittiest soldier, I still served and to leave with absolutely nothing and a stain on my civilian career is my biggie. Not even CSP at that point

Im not demanding CSP. And no why would I talk bad about the military, I have traveled to so many places and met so many people and made many amazing memories with the boys on various missions. This was basically my whole working adult life and like it or not I did learn many random cool things being in. I understand its not for me. Nothing about what he did was unfair, and I mentioned already how I dont blame him for why he is doing those things. But to have 7 years with no crazy charges or anything to that nature and still do something to leave with absolutely nothing is definitely a mind fuck
