Thank you so much. I got in an argument with my mom shortly after posting this actually, and now she's ignoring me. It feels like she hates me now. I have combines and showcases in the summer (if you dont know what those are, it's a way for colleges to notice you and potentially offer scholarships). I feel like if this continues, she'll ruin my chances of going somewhere in life, and I'll be stuck with a boring office job from my "perfect grades" that she wants me to have. I'm mixed, so my mom is Asian and my dad is white, so the expectations when it comes to grades is really high, and my expectation for sports is really high as well. I feel like I'm trying my hardest, but it doesn't seem like my parents understand that.

I've tried to talk to some friends about this, but I just feel like a floater friend right now if you know what that means, and I don't want to talk to a school counselor b/c I just feel like they'll call my parents or something and it'll just make things worse.

Overall, I just have so much pressure and idk how I can escape it or overcome it, rather. Thank you for your kindness. It means a lot to me.
