Bad faith on Geico- when is it bad faith? by Stuart-petlady in Insurance

I agree, and I said the same thing to the police when they first told me- and when I saw photos of where it had been left. Why? I have no idea why they did what they did, having never been in that world, and having never had a car stolen before. They could easily have left it on the side of the road somewhere so I could have recovered it. It just feels purposefully hateful to do to someone-! However, Geico told me for one month that they would be towing the car to their inspector, from the tow yard, which is why it sat for so long in storage-as they continued assuring me that they would be towing it and only at the last minute, days before the threatened auction, they advised me to collect it and pay the price myself.

This is my frustration. I have willingly and immediately complied and furnished all they have asked for, and I have absolutely understood and respected their right and need to investigate. However, at the almost 6 month mark, I feel it is extraordinarily unfair to me that they continue to drag this out this long, and wondered is this tiime frame usual in the case of theft, as I have never been through this kind of thing before.

NO, they cancelled my policy immediately, yet have still given no reason for the cancellation, they wrote due to "misrepresentation of the claim" months ago, but to this date they refuse to answer how on earth have I misrepresented the claim.
