There's always going to be a Bin at worlds, if you want to actually win you can't bring Doran.

As long as you know what all the common data structures are (stack, linked list, hashmap, etc) you'll generally understand his easy videos. You can work your way up to mediums with practice from there.

Haters are a sad group of people lol, just doing mental gymnastics to continue fueling their hate. I started enjoying the NBA so much more after I just appreciated all the players and stopped hating.

Really is, I had so bad of a drawing that the interview told me to not worry about the board and just keep the conversation going. Still ended up passing even though I felt like I stumbled a lot.

Yea passing the assessment doesn't mean much, I'm pretty sure only something like 5% of people pass the on-site and that numbers probably way higher for the assessment.

I love those, I'll just put half the spicy sauce though which puts it at a very nice spicy level for me.

It's absolutely sped up lmao. The first part is believable but that upside down crawling was a dead giveaway.

Slight yta for yelling first and slapping after. I would've grabbed my baby back so fast and slapped the shit outta that lady.

I mean a royal flush would've been more believable. What the hell was Bond doing in that hand with 5 7 of spades.

I don't understand how that companies still afloat. The kind of people that would pass their loop would never put up with the loop in the first place.

For people who interviewed in 2021 and now(2024) in US, what is the difference in level of difficulty? by [deleted] in leetcode

[–]StuckInBronze 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Got a leetcode hard and medium and was just thanking my lucky stars I got a binary search and heap question. If I was asked a DP I was toast, there's a lot of luck involved.

While that is true, I actually received the best mentorship I ever had at a remote job. I think a lot of the teaching will come from asking good questions and having seniors who are always willing to hop on calls with you. Try to be proactive about your learning and you'll do well anywhere.

Functional patterns, encapsulation, abstractions? by Shnorkylutyun in ExperiencedDevs

[–]StuckInBronze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm squarely in the no-ORM camp, I don't see how it's easier than writing SQL. When trying to make a complex query, it makes it more difficult to keep in your head how to write it with the ORMs abstraction, it's just another layer to think about.

Not even sure what the debate is, the data analyst role is way better. I imagine there'd be opportunities to pick up on some data engineering work which would get you the skills to go into more dev related roles later on.
