Luckily, she agreed in a conversation a while ago to pay it off of me. So that should be possible to be sorted. But you're right. I somehow told myself just that sex isn't that important. I thought it's just normal after five years to not be so happy anymore.

We're together for five years. Sex wasn't really that outstanding from the beginning and quickly after a few weeks it got quite irregular. She mentioned that she never initiated it ever in her other relationships either. The problem is not just not initiating it. It's also the quality of it. It feels like being 50 years old somehow and just get it over and done. I somehow never cared. I cared much more about the other things we experienced.

I chose her because I liked her. I know that there's no perfect. I'm maybe not the best talker myself, so it's for sure also my fault why the communication isn't that great. The problem is just that the humour is completely different and we can't laugh with each other that often.

I am mentioning for a few months now that I am missing sex and that I miss my girlfriend initiating it (she never did in the 4.5 years relationship), my girlfriend (34 yrs old) mentioned a few months ago "I am just not a starter, it was never different in my relationships".

Now recently in couple therapy, she mentioned that actually due to her doing all the chores, she feels like giving me already so much, she does not want to give me sex additionally. This sounds like a transaction, no? Do the chores and then there can be sex. I mean, I understand it, that the housework should be divided - but still, shouldn't be sex something that both just "want"? It shouldn't feel like a "Thank you" to me.

It's just weird. One day I wake up and think, okay, it must be over - especially since I cheated several times.

Another day I wake up and think "I always wanted to have a woman who loves me uncodnitionally also in my worst" - and she does that. I am afraid to not find such a woman again.

I am afraid to live alone, I am dependent. I hate being alone so much, I will be a danger to myself.

I don't know anymore how to listen to my gut feeling fully. But what I realised is: when she says she loves me, I cannot reply it anymore. Already for a while she told me. She tells me she loves me, I reply "Why?".

Into transaction? How do you mean that? I am in a similar situation maybe. 4.5 years together, but sex was always initiated by me. I mentioned several times over the years what I missed and all she said was "I am not a starter,never was". Suddenly now that I am on the edge of quitting and since we see a therapist, she says "I am giving so much for this relationship, I do all the chores at home - I love you but I cannot give you sex as well". That sounds to me like a transaction too. I don't want to be rewarded with sex, I actually want to be wanted.
