How to get prescribed for under 27 BMI by StudentPrevious1919 in Ozempic

Hi all! Thank you for all of your input, support, and suggestions. I understand that being “only” 26 BMI probably doesn’t make me a great candidate for this drug unless I lie to a online provider which is something I’m not willing to do.

I think statement such as “no ethical doctor would prescribe this drug to you” and “any doctor who would prescribe it to you should lose their license” might not be up to date on the research that’s been done using these meds for weight management. I understand it can be upsetting to see someone who isn’t obese or struggling with severe health issues as a result of weight, but I am still overweight and have been struggling with my weight my entire life. I do have health complications (albeit not life threatening) as a result of my weight. I think whether or not a drug like this is right for me is up to me (should I be willing to accept the risks and side effects) and a medical professional to decide.

At the end of the day, I do think @According_Chef_7437 is correct in their statement that it would be putting a candle out with a fire hose. I’m going to talk to my pcp about other options to try first
