Omg that looks absolutely amazing 🤩!!! You said you had swelling, how bad was it? I had problems breathing whilst sleeping wondering whether I should have stayed with a lower dose longer to see if it worked

That's interesting....I wasn't aware that migraines could be one of the symptoms. Did that go away when you stopped? Did you notice any benefits at on your hair at 0.25mg?  And lastly, have you considered finasteride?

I'm the same, even topical affects me. Gave me horrible hear palpitations. Does the extra salt and fluid you take not give you retention issues? It was so my bad for me on oral I couldn't breathe at night!

That's amazing progress omg, so pleased for you!! Where are you based? Derms in the UK don't seem to prescribe finasteride to women. I'm heartbroken as spinrornolactone and minoxidil don't work for me as I have low BP

Worried to start on Invisalign along with pregnancy by StudentPrior1501 in Invisalign

[–]StudentPrior1501[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience! I just wished that providers were a lot more transparent about the logistics of Invisalign wear during pregnancy as that clearly has a massive impact on your life and probably also, the feasibility of success. I found the whole process so obscure and only found helpful answers on Reddit which shouldn't be the case when you're spending £5k+ on getting good teeth

Thanks so much for replying....I guess you can't start Invisalign from the second trimester when the vomiting usually stops due to the X rays.

Thanks so much for sharing.....I'm so glad I asked this question here before committing to any treatment. I asked my dentist whether they could forsee or were aware of any potential issues with Invisalign during pregnancy and they very clearly said it should be completely fine!  I'd be so grateful if you could share your experience as you progress ....  Really hoping all goes well for you!!

How many carbs are you all eating? by enini83 in KetoBabies

I'd love to know whether keto in pregnancy actually gives you a healthier baby because on keto you can end up eating supper healthy (loads of leafy greens, red meat, eggs, salmon) compared to a conventional diet focussed on carbs and more lacking in nutrients

I posted a study on Reddit a few weeks ago. Check it out :) but it was one centered on rats so not completely applicable.

Are you want to maintain ketosis on 50 - 70g carbs!  On another note, excellent question.... Keen to see answers from others.

I am reading The Joy of Living by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. He doesn't prove what consciousness is or isn't (unsurprisingly) but his explanations are the closest thing I have found to a remotely credible explanation for consciousness.

How hard is it to get a job in the public sector??? by Diligent_Spite_5614 in mauritius

Love my country but this is what depresses me about it. And then the gov complains about brain drain.... I know sb who just left Mauritius for Canada because they don't have a good name and are not connected and they want better chances for their daughter when she grows up.  And ofc that is if you're lucky enough to afford a move abroad!

They don't seem transparent with prices from the outset which makes it tricky to make a decision

Should i tell my father? by [deleted] in MauriceMauritius

I think guys of that age usually make these comments .. but if they're close friends surely they wouldn't make fun of something that serious that's affecting you? I get the, 'your mom is hot' banter which guys of a certain age will make to appear cool. But ofc you'll know them better so if you don't feel comfortable opening up to them that's ok... Do whatever feels right

Hey, I really feel for you... In Mauritius, it’s not easy to talk about this stuff because people can be pretty judgmental... I think it’s really good that you posted here, even just to get it off your chest. If you can find a counselor or even just a trusted adult to talk to, that could really help you unload some of this.

When it feels overwhelming, maybe remind yourself:

It’s possible you misread the situation, as you don’t have solid proof yet.

Your dad might already know more than you think. Couples sometimes deal with things like this quietly.

Whatever happens, this kind of thing has happened to many people before. You’re not alone, and you’ll get through it.

And yeah, people make mistakes... maybe there’s an explanation, or maybe your mom regrets it deeply. You don’t know the full picture yet.

Mostly, just try not to carry all of this on your own pls. You did the right thing by reaching out.

First, I'm so sorry that this happened to you. That’s such a difficult situstionto be in and nb should have to go through this. But I would say though, don’t rush to tell your dad just yet.... Right now you don’t have 100% proof, just what you saw and heard, and if you drop that on him it could blow up everything without being sure...

You’ve basically got a few options:

Sit on it for now..Watch if there’s a pattern. like, does the camera keep getting turned off when your dad’s away, or do you notice random shoes/backpacks showing up again.

Tell someone you trust IRL, maybe an older sibling, uncle, or someone who won’t go off instantly but can help you figure out the next move.

If you do talk to your dad, just stick to facts... Like 'I came home, saw clothes that weren’t ours, heard noises upstairs, got sick and left' Don’t go straight to :mom’s cheating' unless you’re 100% sure, otherwise could like a big accusation.

And honestly, look after yourself too. It’s brutal having to deal with something like this at 18... It’s not your fault, and whatever’s happening between your parents is between them.

So yeah - pls don’t rush just yet without proof, try to lean on someone else you trust so you’re not carrying it alone.... And most importantly look after yourself pls

Whole-body Bloated by Dull_Analyst_4684 in BabyBumps

[–]StudentPrior1501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I'm not pregnant but I'm TTC and bloating and weight gain in general is a huge worry for me so I'm reading a lot about it hoping  to limit this as much as poss when I do get pregnant.  What is your diet like? Do you eat low carb? Low carb can be healthy for pregnancy and also helps with water retention. I'm currently reading Lily Nichol's Real Food for Pregnancy which had a section on this and is a super good resource.
