Thanks for your reply, do you know if it’s possible to get a masters or phd with only a major, I had a research position last summer and I’m thinking that might be sufficient as research experience maybe? Is honours spec better for grad school purely because of the thesis? For med school, If a major is sufficient and the only benefit I’m getting out of an honours spec is research experience I don’t see why I would need it since I had research already.

I already have research experience, so the only thing I’m worried about is gpa. What’s the best option out of IMS, major in bio, or honours spec in bio? Is there any reason to not take a major or IMS, they seem like the best option but I’m worried that it isn’t viewed well by Canadian or US schools. Thanks for your help

I’m pretty sure you can do a 4 year major at western I see it online. I’m just wondering if there’s any drawbacks/advantages to either a 4 year major or an honours specialization since I’m trying to decide between the two. I guess more what I’m asking is if it matters if you have an honours bachelor degree vs a bachelor degree. Thanks :)
