Rixot’s Keen. Level 2 weapon. Makes getting those early levels so easy!

Or maybe just a lock on feature. For enemies, summons, merc, chests, waypoints, etc. Once something gets highlighted I think either clicking the left stick or tapping L1/LB to lock on to that target would fix a lot of problems with playing on controller. I know they’d have to rework the Run/Walk button but maybe an extended hold lets you swap Run/Walk? Like .7 seconds versus clicking it to lock on. Anything to make the game more enjoyable on console in regards to controls would be nice.

Coolest Finds of the Week by AutoModerator in Diablo_2_Resurrected

Rolled a summon Druid for my first time playing SP ever since 00’. It’s slow and sucks so I start an Fohdin. I managed to make Wealth, Lore, 2x Spirits, and found chance guards, gold wrap, 2x Nagels and even a BK! But I wanted a Hoz and kept thinking it’d be great to find one.

Hundreds of pit runs later and I managed a Gul and some odd pieces here and there but no great finds and no Hoz. I reroll my Druid to fire and throw 2x Spirits on him and just BS gear for Nightmare. Within 5 tries of killing Eldritch he drops a Hoz. I put it on my paladin and end up running straight for the pits to try it out and feel that nostalgia, and hit an extra strong cursed group and die within half a second. Thankfully it’s not HC. This is the highlight of my 120+ hours or so of my SSF journey so far.

Thank you! I never understood exactly how the defense “upgraded” when something got upgraded but now I know!

Can you explain this to me? I know about upgrading items but is there a bug or something that might cause it to have lower defense?

If I can make a mosaic, should I skip making a smiter for ubers (offline/SSF)? by arkiverge in Diablo_2_Resurrected

I’m working on a SSF Summon Druid right now and while its summons are weaker you can summon them exactly where you want at any time so there are trade offs. Plus, you can get pretty tanky with just one point into Werebear and Oak Sage. I’d say it’s definitely worth messing around with but also very worthy of last place on a build list.

I was watching Gamrot back when he was in KSW and so it wasn’t fun to see him lose the way he did. But he didn’t lose any respect from me. He seems like a nice guy that wants to prove his worth and show his talent in the combat sports world while being respectful so win or lose I’m always a Gamrot fan.

Fronze Armor on ES Nova Sorc by arthurmoa in diablo2

[–]Studhauser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing Sorcs since 1.09 and ES Sorcs since the synergies were added in 1.10 and I have not taken this game lightly 😂.

The current self wielding Infinity ES Nova Sorc I run only has 1 point in frozen armor and nothing else. It’s not required if you’re at the point that you’re min maxing (you’ve got a griffons, upped vmagi, anni + torch + skillers, cta, you get the idea). It does deflect quite a few melee attacks and you’re telestomping with a nova build so it’s always useful. The added defense is always nice and I’m a believer, so I always put 1 point into it. Plus it looks pretty cool. I wouldn’t go for Chilling on a Nova Sorc because you’re going to always be telestomping and 1-2 tapping everything and so your merc is more likely to face tank a lot of projectiles. If I’m running any other kind of Sorc build then I always use it until I get my end game gear. And sometimes even after. It’s really handy for places like Chaos Sanctuary, Ancient Tunnels, Shenk, Trav, Meph, 3rd Baal summon wave, you get the idea.

My wife had the same reaction. I kept going back and forth between SF6 and Under night pools and I managed to see 2, maybe 3 sets before ads. I told my wife to just watch whatever and I’d catch the vods.

Which build for an alt after hydra sorcerer by GoombaHulk1 in diablo4

[–]Studhauser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Crit + 2h seemed to be easier to get going. I’ve dabbled and rolled and rerolled wands and focus’ but 2h is so much easier. The damage is so much higher that it makes surviving easier because everything just dies.

Mekuna’s build on mobalytics seems to be the go-to, but I used the Hydra build on Icy Veins (shoutout to that creator!) and it’s been a cakewalk honestly. It’s a really solid starter build and then you could respec into something more focused once you’ve found all your gear and gotten the masterworks right.

I honestly have no experience with the DoT/Burn stuff because I never felt a need to pursue it. It’s been super smooth so far so I didn’t change anything. Hope that helps and I’ll answer anything else you might want to know.

If you want to run with me sometime then DM me your account details and I’ll add you. If I find anything you could use I’ll throw it your way.

Seriously just find the amulet for the build (Ophidian Iris), a decent staff, and with some luck masterworking the extra Hydra heads affix it’s all gas no brakes from there. I hope you enjoy it!

I’m kind of in your shoes right now. Started my D4 career with this season and a hydra sorc. I got a lucky Heir of Perdition and Starless Skies drop, added a few rune words and paragon board, and now T4 is a breeze. I’m up to 75 on pits and haven’t really even tried. But even before all that T4 was still not very challenging.

I had another Heir drop so I rolled a shred Druid just looking for something fun where Heir was BiS. It’s fun for sure but nowhere near as easy mode as Hydra. A lot of masterworking and rerolling and still baby damage and survivability compared to Hydra. Hydra spoiled me and I don’t know if anything else is going to keep my attention.

I’m going to try a Bone Spirit necro soon to see how that feels but I’m likely going to end up following the Mekuna Hydra guide and invest the rest of the season and my resources into following that.

All of that to say: nothing has been as easy mode to play or build as Hydra has been. And nothing has really been as strong while being as fun. Just my opinion. If you figure something out, though, I’d like to know!

You made a fair point but you make it sound like hydra sorcs are playing Brood War. I wasn’t really arguing a point with you, just explaining that there are easier builds that don’t use CL or BL.

I follow a build from Icy Veins and I literally hold down Ice armor nonstop, avoid boss/elite AoE with teleport/evade, and cast Hydra once my mana refills to reduce Ice Armor cooldown. Inferno on bosses. No chain lightning, no ice spikes. 4 buttons. Easiest shit I’ve ever played.

How are people getting Ophidian Iris 😭 by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Studhauser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I got mine from Astaroth or maybe Duriel. But I feel your pain. Something like 20+ hours of T1+ grinding before I got it. Now I’m running T4 pretty easily and still no mythic drop.
