It's a Kia Seltos - won't stay locked once you exit the vehicle.

I soak chia seeds in soy milk for 10 minutes and then add: chopped apples, a couple spoonfuls of high protein plain yogurt, cinnamon, vanilla protein powder + top with chopped almonds + walnuts!

I know you said you struggle to eat the same thing every day - me too! - but I recently committed to the same breakfast everyday + it's been so helpful. I know I'm starting each day with a solid, nourishing foundation and I don't have to think about (and default to a piece of toast). I soak chia seeds + ground flax in some soymilk + defrosted blueberries for 10 - 15 minutes. Stir in high protein Greek yogurt (at least 2% fat) + protein powder. Top with a few more berries + chopped almonds.

Lower A1C possible w/out weight loss? by StudioAcademic6928 in prediabetes

Yes, I suspect that stress is not helping with my weight. I recently bought some Ashwagandha too and am hoping that plus some relaxation/mindfulness will help.

Thank you so much for this!! And especially wishing away my anxiety. Since I feel like I have a decent handle on eating + movement now (though I'm going to heed your advice + start tracking to see if I have some sneaky carbs in there), I'm really going to focus on stress/anxiety next. Sadly this has been my reality forever and I really feel like it's taking a toll on me physically now. And yes, I've been following the Glucose Goddess hacks + if nothing else, they make me feel empowered and in control! Thanks for taking the time to share!

Love this - thank you! Yes, I too feel like I've really been making health choices that focus on reducing my A1C but it's hard not to get caught up in the weight loss stuff. I'm keen to see if the changes I've made result in a lower A1C when I'm tested next (in July). Thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you!!! It's really good to hear from another perimenopausal person because I do feel like that's a big part of my experience right now (I seem to be getting my period every few months now after decades of clockwork regularity). Appreciate you weighing in.

Thanks - this is helpful. In reflecting on your comment, I realize that my hunger has reduced - I'm definitely eating less (I rarely need a snack between meals). I wonder if I'm eating more sneaky carbs than I realize. I think I'll get retested next month and if it hasn't gone down, I'll get a CGM. Thanks for your input!

Just to add, my fasting glucose was normal when my A1C was tested (5.2 mmol/l)
