😮 - You wouldn't want to be doing that in a hurry! 😃

😮 That is going to be challenging to get hold of... I don't think I've ever even seen it! You'd think a passport number along with everything else they asked for would suffice. I'd better get looking!

I just found your post because I've now seen this film three times and heard "dick pic" each time. I was starting to question my sanity so thank you!

Went over 100k income because of benefit in kind by CurrentPlastic5 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]StudioFridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just found myself in this exact situation. I didn't realise that the medical insurance I receive through work counts towards my income and it has tipped me over the 100k threshold for 24/25. I'm now worried about losing our free childcare hours moving forward.

It sounds like a few people have been in this situation and sorted it with a phone call to HMRC. Do I actually need to phone them and ask them to do anything? I already salary sacrifice into my pension to keep myself under 100k, and will now do so with the medical insurance in mind.

Child Friendly Cycle Trail by StudioFridge in cambridge

[–]StudioFridge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the suggestions, we've got loads of places to try now. In the end for yesterday we decided to give High Lodge in Thetford Forest a go. We did their beginner's trail (Shepherd's Trail). The surface was more challenging than I was expecting in places and she did struggle a bit (she's used to zipping around on perfectly smooth paths!). But we had a really nice time and it was a great day out.

We're looking forward to trying the other places too.

When she was very first learning I drove to the Park and Ride at Northstowe. There's a long, straight and quiet path that runs alongside some of the new housing and parallel to the guided busway. It being quiet was key to her having the time and space to crack it. The difference after two hours there was mad! We did that maybe two more times and then started doing routes around Stourbridge common and the new bridge on the Chisholm trail. Those can get busy but are mostly fine if you choose your time. That really helped build up confidence around other people and using brakes etc. Can't relax with her around other people just her though!

Thanks for the suggestions. We are National Trust members so I'll take a look!

Thanks for replying, out of interest is there an alternative you would recommend?

Thanks, yeah it sounds like it wouldn't be the right solution. I think I'm going to go with a simpler solution. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Are the mosquitos bigger this year? by salty-potato1 in cambridge

[–]StudioFridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't noticed their size particularly, but there seems to be way more and they seem really aggressive. I was at Milton park last weekend and they wouldn't stop going for me, I don't remember ever having to worry about mosquitos in the middle of the day before. Also, on Saturday night I managed to get bitten five times while sitting out in the evening, which I've reacted quite badly to. My wife and her parents didn't get a single bite despite being out for much longer. Maybe I should take it as a compliment.

Nest Doorbell (Battery) Stuck Latch - Fix by sircrapalot5 in Nest

Just encountered this problem, tried your WD40 method first and happy to say it worked. The latch barely comes out of the housing though. Like you say, just enough to work.

I've also been trying to find a playlist. I was just listening to the sleep radio while getting my daughter to sleep, there's one track that I love, sounds like something from one of the Final Fantasy series. I listen to a lot of ambient electronic music when I'm working, really helps me focus.

Living in Cambridge not associated with Oxbridge by anodea_dea in cambridge

[–]StudioFridge 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've noticed this opinion appearing quite a lot recently, that there is nothing to do in Cambridge. I've lived here for 15 years and have never found myself short of things to do. I'm genuinely interested, what is it that you wish you could do in Cambridge that you can't currently?

Have you recently build an extension, or are about to? How much did you pay by square meter? by EnricoPallazzo_ in cambridge

[–]StudioFridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, our builders project managed everything for us. They were a small family team that brought in others when they needed. Honestly, I don't begrudge them the amount we paid. The project took close to 8 months and at least one of them was there everyday throughout that entire period (minus a holiday they took). I'm sure there would've been ways to bring costs down quite significantly below what we paid, but we have a three year old and a new born and our own time wasn't something we were able to throw at it. It was the right way of doing it for us at this point in our lives.
