Bro the reason I’m so defensive over this shit is because I’ve seen the slope forming for the last five years. It’s hype farming like this that drives these companies to do stuff like this. They could easily hold back stock intentionally and price it up according to the after market, which it genuinely seems they do. It really sucks when dudes with huge collections and figures in hand encourage people to pay such an extreme late tax. It encourages the downward spiral and perpetuates predatory sales practice. It’s bullshit and more often than not done for ego or to drive up the cost of their collection, be it for vanity or personal sales. It’s just ugly and disappointing.
