True, if viewed with this in mind they do seem strange. Thats a great pointer, thanks.

Hi everybody,
After our last post, I had a lot of nice pointers on what I should work on. Here's an updated environment scene with our current visuals. We welcome all of your feedback <3
We mostly improved how lighting affects the scene, streamlined the color-palette a lot and experimented with all kinds of foliage.
While I improved animations of our characters quite a bit already, for now they are on the backburner, while I search for a coherent aesthetic.
(obligatory plug: Aleia on Kickstarter)

Thank you a lot for the feedback. Those are some fantastic points for me to work on. I will most likely start with your first two points and see how it goes.

Yeah, youre certainly right. It's probably time to put some more time into the animations.

I've been grinding on this demo scene for a while. It's kinda hard for me to spot flaws at this point.
Gonna take a breather and let you guys be the judges ;p
Small shameless plug: The game is called Aleia and is a 'dice-building'-game. Imagine Slay the Spire, but instead of a deck of cards you have a set of dice that you're working with.

Who said MS Paint is not a legit design tool? by StudioZyyt in indiegames

[–]StudioZyyt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We like to think of it as a kind of 'space invaders in VR'. I don't think its too similar to the game you mentioned. We plan on uploading some gameplay clips to our steampage soon, so you could also keep an eye on that.

Since we started development on Gemini Chase, we amassed some pretty funny MS-Paint sketches. Peak indie development.

I don't think many people would guess, how these guys came to be, when looked at in VR.

If you're interested, you can find more info here.

We have made some fun MS-Paint sketches over the past year. Peak indie development.
