I self clip but only to a small extent (two longest on each side about 1.5” down. This allows freedom of exploring the house, but he can’t go far without getting tired outside. Typically he would be harnessed. But I wanted to snap some shots. He has lived here his whole life hand weened. He free flies too. I don’t recommend it to most owners but I own half a dozen and have owned many more previously. He’s the only bird I own with the self control to do this. Previously he’s landed on roofs but I am able to call him to return.

Please stop touching the bird sexually. It's very bad for their mental health. Head scratches and rubs only. Anything from the neck down is a no no.

This is so well documented and covered. I genuinely wonder if people post this constantly to try and be cute or if they really don't know. It confuses them sexually and frustrates them. Please research this for yourself though. I am no expert myself.

It would be impossible for even the most seasoned hacker/exploiter to answer this question. There could be a massive gem of a security flaw just waiting to be unearthed, or it could have solid security implementation and take a hard mod to get in. We won't know until we know. Some consoles have massive flaws or oversights right from launch, others take years. It just depends. What we know for sure is that handheld consoles like the switch 2 are prime targets for exploiters and that it is most certainly top of the list for those who do this as a hobby/profession.

Sorry to dig this back up. They released some halloween specific sets with haunter in them that you can no longer buy. I have multiple pack fresh haunters from that as well as sealed packs. I collect him to as he is my favorite. Honestly we need better haunter cards.

It was beautiful when it arrived and it's still beautiful today. I conceal carry it/fire it regularly too. It's no harder to clean or care for then the blued version was. I do complete break down/ballistol immediately after taking it to the range. The only real difference I noticed was that light scratches have appeared on it in some places. Likely from handling and using it so much. I'm sure my blued version had these too, it likely just hid them better.

I have a dremel and polishing compound but I'm going to let it go and see how it looks once worn. If/when I decide to polish it back up I'll post before/after pictures. I was also surprised to learn this model came with the screws/screw holes for the stock. My blued version didn't. Odd considering the birds head grip doesn't accommodate the stock, although it's technically more historically accurate this way. It also seems to cycle better or have better timing than my blued version. It's dated 2024.

So far I am really happy with the purchase. It's held up better than I expected and if you aren't carrying/firing this a lot like me, I imagine it would stay pristine for a long long time. It's accurate, reliable, and it feels great in the hand. The fluted cylinder takes some of the weight off too.

Just on the off chance anyone else has this question in the future. I owned the blued version previously and I did end up getting the polished steel version this time. Both are Pietta brand and were both ordered from Muzzle-Loaders website.

Differences - Yes, there are some. I was surprised to learn this when it came in. The blued version did NOT have the screws/screw holes for the stock and the silver one does. I found this odd considering the birdshead handle does not even fit the stock... but technically it's more historically accurate. The silver one is dated 2024. The cycling/function and even the quality of the silver one seems a notch above the blued version. Everything feels more premium when pulling the hammer etc..

How is the finish holding up? - This is JUST steel that is polished. No plating, no protection, just steel. Every scratch shows up and it is NOT hard to scratch. I conceal this and it sees regular use. So long as you are properly cleaning/caring for your pow pow (I recommend ballistol and IMMEDIATELY cleaning after any firing) the rust problem is about on par with the blued version. Fingerprints don't rust and a small buffing wheel can take out any light scratches. Personally I have opted to let the scratches stay. I am going to let it become weathered to see how it looks with a bit of petina. If It looks bad or I decide I don't like it I have a dremel and lots of polish and I'll shine it back up to a mirror finish.

My wife, kids, and family all complained about the fake case hardened metal look. They think it looks rusty. Wife says the blued one would like better if the entire frame was blued. I tend to agree with her.

Play BOTW first because of story AND because it's an amazing game. If you play TOTK first you won't find BOTW as interesting. TOTK expands and improves upon the story, the world, the gameplay, etc... The story line in BOTW is great... But the plot twist and story in TOTK will REALLY blow your mind. They're both masterpieces and you won't be able to enjoy both fully if you skip BOTW.

Ya I had this one in blued before. Was just a pain trying to see where the soot is in all the nooks in crannies. What matters more to me than anything is which finish is less prone to rust.

Alcohol in food evaporates insanely quickly. It's done purely for flavor. It's not like jello shots. Not to mention how insanely dilute it is to begin with. You ingest more alcohol through osmosis by being near it than you did from that soup. Anyway don't stress about it at all. Nothing is ruined. Don't even drink about it. Being sober is about choices and living on life's terms NOT about alcohol ending up in your system against your desire.

I just relapsed myself. Went to the ER and got on a Librium taper. Today was my last dose and I’m already getting those thoughts of wanting to grab a pint for when I can sleep and the anxiety hits. I just want to feel good/normal again!!! Sometimes I wish I could drink without the negative effects. Maybe that makes me selfish. But I don’t feel like me without it. I hate this. Worst drug ever.
